Yes, pretty much this. I’ve only skimmed all the negative coverage of his time there that’s been posted on here, but no-one deserves that environment, however distasteful the alternative.
Would be horribly depressing if either his defensive skills, or Kaikai banging them in, were the tipping point to keep Franchise up. Unfortunately I do suspect they’ll scrape their way out of trouble.
It's bad enough the Aberdeen fans pitching in about being glad he's gone and supposedly warning MK "fans", they know how good he is from the playoffs.
Was surprised to see him start some of their recent games given all the criticism, they've not looked after him at all and he can't have been solely to blame.
Absolutely agree with the thoughts above. Anthony Stewart is one of our heroes isn’t he? His performance against Oxford at Wembley was on of the all-time great individual performances for our club.
It’s really sad it hasn’t worked out for him at Aberdeen. They’ve handled him terribly, should never have been made captain. Their loss.
He can’t possibly now be criticised for taking up the opportunity to join a club based in a town where he actually lives, in a division he’s excelled in before just because it’s a considered a bit of a rival or a non-club by Wycombe fans.

Betsy leaves Wigan with Toure
Didn't know he was there, quite the tour this season.
Kaikai starts for MKD and Mellor for Rochdale
Mickey Bell's son Sam scores his second goal in two games for Bristol City
Goals for Max Kretzschmar and Josh Parker for Wealdstone and Oxford City respectively.
Al-Hamadi starts for AFC Wimbledon.
AAH Mk.1 scores for Hereford.
Another rotten day for Aberdeen and Anthony Stewart. End of the line for their manager I guess
Was surprised to see him start given all the criticism, might wish he hadn't.

‘Every time there was a flair up he was there in the middle of it.’
Frank Fielding - somehow still only 34 - on the bench for Stoke this afternoon
Alex Samuel made his return yesterday after 10 months out injured! He came on as a 65th minute sub for Ross County.
Burton have reportedly bid for Josh Umerah
Absolutely love the bloke. He is really been unlucky with injuries either side of his spell with us, so hopefully his career can take back off again.
Nothing but love for Alex. Met him on more than one occasion at the club and he is a joyful individual.
I suspect Anis is going to need his own ex player thread.
“Anis has scored again”

Admiral Muskwe has been recalled from his loan at Fleetwood.
Toolz has gone to MK Dons on loan... how could he? :-[ https://www.mkdons.com/news/2023/january/don-deal-anthony-stewart-arrives-on-deadline-day/
Because he was desperate to get out what with all the abuse he was getting up there.
Gutted he's there, but probably a good thing he's got away from Aberdeen.

Sad yet entirely unsurprising to see some of our goons sticking the knife into him, calling him a traitor etc.
oh gawd...is that the FB page?
Twitter, so I expect FB is even more awful. Just let the bloke get on with his career, ffs.

Give the lad a break.
Hope he gets the respectful welcome he deserves on April 1st.
One of our best.
