As a perennial thread derailer, it makes a change for me to steer one back on track.
What the hell is going on at Pittodrie ? There seems to be some kind of vendetta against Anthony Stewart. On Saturday he was voted the worst player again despite leading them to another victory.
I know they are a deservedly proud club, never having dropped out of the top flight in 117 years but surely fourth place in the Premiership suggests that the skipper isn’t that bad.
Ex blue Cameron Dawson has been nominated for EFL player of the month. It seems he has taken the position of ex-blue David Stockdale and it will take an injury or serious loss of form for that position to be reversed. Question marks over what DS does next??
Jean-Baptiste Fischer joins Josh Parker at Oxford City, while Billy Knott signs for Margate. Fingers crossed the latter's troubles are behind him, he looked a cracking player on his day.
The Facebook piece by John D Taylor about the wonderful Wanderers Warm Place initiative led me to some information about Gary Hand - a great little fullback who spent just one season with Wycombe (1973-74) in the midst of a brilliant career at Hendon.
Gary is now 72 but looks 20 years younger. He leads a blues band - Ricochet - and lives in St Albans. Interesting football related article below.
They were laughing about him on 5Live yesterday. Roddy Forsyth saying ‘that’s why players have media training’. He’s losing credibility when the press pack turn against you too.
A red all day for me. Dangerous tackle and I would be fuming if an opposition player did that to say Mehmeti. The refs immediate action probably prevented a mass brawl as a result.

Probably doing up your shoe laces in the wrong penalty area is not advisable!
Josh Parker with an assist and a goal, his eighth of the season, as Oxford City beat St Albans at home.
Chris Zebroski has now left Melksham Town and is now a player-coach at Fleet Town
Scott Rendell sadly got lost on his way back to Adams Park and instead is playing for Totton - he is currently the League’s third top scorer.
Paul Hayes has signed for Eastern Counties Premier Division side Haverhill Rovers.
@ChasHarps what year did we play Haverhill Rovers at Loakes Park. Think it was a 4-0 win, one of my earliest memories of WWFC
1988-89 season, it was a hot day, we ended up winning 4-1, We went to Finchley in the next rnd on another hot day.
They allowed Wanderers fans who made up 3/4 of the gate to drink throughout the game.
@ChasHarps I'm intrigued to know how you have every single piece of history that quick?
By staying off warm beer/real ale and sticking to nice cold lager, it keeps the memory cells intact.
Incredible memory

Hakan Hayrettin sacked by Maidstone.

Giles Phillips joins Connor Parsons at Waterford.
Are they some sort of Wycombe old boys tribute club?
Lea Angol Bradford to Sutton

Back in the 81/82 we played Hendon in the FA Cup.
Gary Hand had a hell of a bubble perm complete with Tache. A pioneer for Harry Enfield's scouse characters.
Luke O'Nient sent off for serious foul play so a 3 match ban.
Red card for Luke O’Nien against Swansea.
Stewart been sent off again for a wild lunge in injury time.
Aberdeen fans had been savaging him before today,
Again?!

Sounds like the press have suckered him into a soundbite and then made a big thing of it.
Not great to have your manager saying you need to show common sense though.
Here's the red card tackle https://twitter.com/Football_Scot/status/1614668849319923712?t=AmOFz1azDMEltimnu8kE2g&s=19
Surely he wasn't really claiming he got the ball there 🤣
What a moron... let his teammates down
O'Nien gets sent off for Wycombe: 4-3 comeback win with 10 men and a legendary late Bean strike.
O'Nien gets sent off for Sunderland: 1-3 defeat after leading.
The lesson: Sunderland are lightweights.

Ref a bit quick to get his card out there, for me
Yellow, plus a stern telling off would have sufficed
