Tyla was highly enough thought of to be number 2 for the second half of last season. Stocko could easily have been injured in the warm up / early stages of the play offs
He will be just fine if he plays today and he will be getting a huge round of applause from me on the terrace
According to Gareth the Bishop loan was stymied by a couple of last-minute hassles. Says they're still looking to bring in a keeper but it wasn't clear whether that's still Bishop or someone else. He's not clear what those hassles were but I guess Manchester United must have wanted us to cover more (all?) of his wages or pay a loan fee. Of course it could be something entirely different but if that's the case it really does make me wonder what our wage budget might be this season - as surely Bishop would be cheaper than Stockdale?
I stand by what I said earlier in the thread about not over promising and under delivering. I hope lots of lessons will be learnt from this saga - from the chairman to the manager to the recruitment team to the comms team.
Apparently (from rumours at the ground) Bishop has been training with us this week and wants to join us. The problem is allegedly that ten Hag won’t sign the deal off.
One thing we've learnt this pre-season is how little we know about what it takes to get a signing over the line. I remember one of Keith Allen's columns suggesting it takes about thirty different signatures to complete some deals.
Someone was rumouring Bishop was actually at the game. So if that was true, it'd be hard to act dumb on it now.
But then if he was at the game / training with us he's clearly had some sort of permission, making it even more baffling we've not managed to do it yet.
It won’t be for lack of trying. No damage down today, indeed a huge positive. Tyla gets his first taste of first team football, comfortable debut and a clean sheet. Huge confidence builder and perhaps some competition for Bishop, if indeed it’s him and we get it over the line.

As long as he doesn’t keep the veil on.

Good luck Tyla
Can you imagine if Bishop turned out to be sh1t. This would be the dampest of damp squib threads.
for me irs underwhelming but will reserve judgement until see him in action. ....for united reserves
He looks pretty good on this:-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E6Kwb-yXUQ
Does anybody know if Nathan Bishop's signed for us yet?
Him and his agent, presumably Gaz and Pete Couhig.
So not yet then.
Dickinson starts lol ....in GA we trust
Dickinson starts in goal today.
Can we close this thread now?
Thread closed. RIP.
I’d be surprised if he doesn’t sign this week.
zzzzzzzzzzz

here here
He's sat by the press box apparently
Heaton would do instead.

Why? It didn't specify before the first game did it.
Nah, just me being cocky.
Is the media team giving too much or too little info these days.
Confusing times.
Move on to another target then, don't let these arrogant managers mess us about.
Find it hard to believe EtH would concern himself with little more than a youth loan, but nothing surprises me with that club.
These rumours are hilarious.
First it was Glazer who was holding it up, now its Ten Hag. Fergie next?
Gaz has all but confirmed that the keeper we are in for is indeed Bishop.
“Put two and two together and you’ll get four on who that is”

So what’s the verdict? Can we trust GA or has he run out of time? Dying to know whether today was the straw that broke the camel’s back or not.
