I'm not far away from declaring it the greatest kit in my lifetime, just need to see it in real life first.
Future generations of Wycombe fans will be able to wear it, decades after the team stopped wearing it and it won't look dated, and will be immediately recognisable as Wycombe
It's certainly my favourite kit for many years. Perhaps not quite up there with the Samsung/Kukri kit of 2013-4 in its simplicity but I do like the move towards skin tight shirts for the related reasons that 1) it must motivate the players to put the chocolate bar down and maintain supreme levels of fitness and 2) allows @aloysius an uncharitable snigger when more rotund fans squeeze into a replica a size too small on the terrace...
It find it fascinating how polarising kits can be (and will probably now read up on why this is). Maybe we should have a Marmite*-coloured away shirt next season in honour.
It's a good point. I guess you associate kits with brand/image/eras. I look back to when I was little and certain kits stand out to me.
The Vandanel Verco kits - they are instilled in my memory from my childhood when first learning about WWFC.
My initial comment about the sleeve being the same colour - I'm starting to see why they did it. The design focus is on the white trim. Against a light blue background it's not as apparent and doesn't make the same statement.
I have grown to really like the kit. Looks much better with the shorts and socks than on its own.
Wow thanks @ChasHarps. I would barely recognise him now if he ran me over. Mind you I haven't seen him since 1974. I am sure it would be a likewise reaction from him as well as I may have put on a pound or two since. A really nice guy who got me a trial at Slough Town, (which I failed at BTW). Would you know if he is still married to the same lady? I can't remember her name, but she was the girls PE teacher at our school.
Only just catching up on the kit stuff, not read too much of what’s been said.
However on the red kit I’ve seen some say it’s a bit boring etc, but to be honest it immediately makes me think of Sean Devine looking amazing as he took down Man City, in what at the the time was probably our most important away day victory in the football league.
My own fondness for having all red as our change comes from that season too. Devine's 30-yarder against Reading on his debut in that strip was also a fond memory (in a season of precious few!)
All-red is also the strip I associate with our last ever game at Loakes Park, when George Best et al in Martin O'Neill's International XI faced up against a Wycombe Wanderers XI playing in the famous quarters for the first time in almost 34 years.
I feel a sense of camaraderie towards anyone wearing our home shirt no matter what they look like . I hope that when you find yourself sniggering uncharitably at someones physical appearance you think what a shallow cock I am.
I picked up a couple of training shorts at the kitman's end of season sale in the Vere a few years ago. They are great - padded zip up pockets on each side. Never seen them for sale though.
I’ve bought training shorts in recent years. I like to use the training kit inc shorts as loungewear/ nightwear. The zipped pockets are great for this. Hopefully shorts maybe added in due course?
Hopefully! They usually sell the zip-up tops as well and they're not currently on site, so I assume they're still to come. Just the training shirts up there at the moment.

Exactly. Plus it will be our winning L1/staying in the Championship shirt.

This looks better, but the white still makes it look like they're wearing a t-shirt underneath https://twitter.com/CharlieMacfarl7/status/1545425345339428865?t=O4kErE5i2tAWcB1QIy49qQ&s=19

Anyone any idea how long the deal with O'Neills has been extended by? The club used to announce these things.

Have training shorts been available to buy in previous seasons? I want some 'workout' shorts, but the match ones don't have pockets.

Never thought of you as a shallow cock @MorrisItal_ .
Thanks @micra and I promise I shall one day get round to reading “Eats, shoots and leaves”.
Will never forget that Devine strike as it came about 5seconds before my goon pal screamed "do something with it then".

Confession time. I’ve not read it yet. Put off by the fact I always thought it was written by the would-be Prime Minister.
My home shirt has been dispatched already, so should be delivered by Friday!
Ditto.
