The Sky written commentary put at half time...."Not the best advert for the 2022/23 League One season so far". I watched the second half and it didn't get much better.

Not the best advert for this season’s Championship either.
If only Barnsley could do a Wycombe and average 1.5 ppg for the rest of the season, there’d be an outside chance that Derby could be pipped.
I'm pleased Derby won. If we don't go up, which is probably more likely now, I would rather face a Peterborough in League 1, than a Mike Ashley owned Derby bringing in Rooney's 40 new signings!
This happened at Wealdstone v Wrexham today and I discovered a law I didn't know existed - goal shouldn't have stood as a player can't score the rebound from their own free-kick (ball has to touch another player before being 'live' again).
In fairness to the ref, in all the excitement of the free kick coming back out off the post and back into play on the edge of the box, he may not have twigged ‘live’ that it was the same guy. It would’ve been somewhat more obvious if he’d just passed it to himself, which is what I was getting at when I assumed you did (unconsciously) know the rule...
Quite a day - I haven’t even got started on the match day thread yet...!

I love reading @Shev

(C.J. Sansom) recommend if you like
.well reading
Well reading? Is that a form of navel gazing?
They are both going to stink out League 1.

Biggest cheer of the night apparently was for a stewarding falling over.
Watched a fair bit last night. If I was a Derby fan I'd be very confident of staying up.
Alan Swann has gone awfully quiet on Wycombe ?
Love C J Sansom books. I find them very engrossing.

Rotherham v Wigan tonight (depending on the storm) but can't see that it is on TV anywhere. Anyone know why it is tonight?
Presumably because Doncaster are at home to Sheff Wed tomorrow (and Sheffield United are at home)
Reading 2-0 up. If Peterborough can find a pulse, Derby could be back in trouble.
Derby and Peterborough both had players sent off.
Derby win in injury time. I give up.

Gaz to Reading?

I can’t believe you didn’t know that rule...
Knew it applied to pens, hadn't considered it for free-kicks. But clearly the ref didn't know it either...

Applies to corners as well..I’ve given one in a game where it bounced off the post back to the corner taker who hit it again…indirect free kick.
Well, if you’re a Formula 1 fan, you’ll know how amusing this is. You know you’re in trouble when this man wants to invest
Apparently Craig Dawson complained to the ref in West Ham - Newcastle yesterday that Chris Wood kept meowing at Kurt Zouma
I'm sure the Ref told him not to be such a pussy!
If that is true Chris Wood has gone up in my estimation...
I thought Craig Dawson was the referee.
