Ascot United drew 1-1 with Virginia Water yesterday. This is a video of Duarte Surpanu's long range strike for the Yellamen, which gives a good view of the adjacent straight mile course.

Just two more hurdles to go and we can win the cup
A lot will depend on the surface at Ascot though. I wonder what would suit us best. Heavy? Soft? Good to firm perhaps?
More a question of whether it’s frayed or rucked, I think.
Pitch side consumption of alcohol is permitted. Cup of tea or coffee £1.10 - served in a ceramic mug. Cheeseburger £2.50, £3. Beer £3.95 a pint. Programme £1. Binoculars from £25.
I will be going to a similar level county cup game in Devon tomorrow - Tavistock (same level as Ascot I believe) v Exeter City. OK its only Exeter's academy team but I daresay WWFC team will be mostly development squad plus some triallists to make up numbers.
I very much doubt if Tavi's crowd will get above 150.

If "trialists" are allowed what's to stop any team in the cup from bringing in "ringers"? Could be no end to it.
Presumably you can only be a trialist if you don't have a contract in the top 6 or so tiers. (Is tier 7 and below week or month by month deals?)
So chances are anyone not playing in the top 6 tiers in mid March isn't that much of a game changer?
Ascot giving it absolutely everything, not scared to shoot on sight, balls pinging all around the area, but somehow still 0-0. Their number 6 has probably the longest throw I've ever seen, causing havoc in the box every time. One of our trialists had a good long-range effort early on, tipped over by their goalie.

Ascot United have said that the B & B semi-final game "is expected to be played later in March or early April".
Two Chairboys who played for the Yellamen are Damien Markman and Jack Smillie, son of Neil.

What if there's a race going on at the same time as a game and a jockey gets knocked off their horse by a wayward shot?
We’re going on the all weather then?
In the remaining QF tie tonight, Reading U23 beat Chesham United 4-2 on penalties, 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Reading host MK next.
Ascot game is on Tuesday 22 March at 7:45pm, tickets available online.

When the draw was made, Ascot were on a nine win run. Since then their record is DLLD, yesterday 0-0 at home to CB Hounslow United.
The thoughts of one of their players, George Lock.
I was really looking forward to going to this game but I probably won't be free of Covid by then.
No date yet for the other semi-final.
Gareth promises first teamers for Ascot.
"The development side will feature players such as Jack Grimmer, Jack Wakley, David Wheeler and maybe Brandon Hanlan and it’ll be a full-blooded game.
“I’m looking forward to it and I want to treat this competition with the respect as the Wycombe fans give it.”

Ascot's Tom Scott gives his thoughts on the match.
Makes sense with no game at the weekend
Over 1000 sold.
These numbers are remarkable.

A message to our drummer boy for tonight….please desist from ‘Ascots a shithole, I wanna go home!!’ Because it isn’t really.
I'm pleased Jack Grimmer's playing tonight...after all he is Ascot
Boom boom!!
Any team news for tonight ?
So Kaikai is fit
Bizarre he hasn't made the match day squad recently
Working back from injury or illness?
Maybe he's been nursing an injury and is returning to fitness?
It's a shame there's so many trialists, but there you go. Grimmer, Forino and Kaikai should all stand out by a million miles
In your Ascot slums you go to the Fat Duck for something to eat the salmons fresh caught and you think it’s a treat

Record crowd of 1267.
