  • No need to pile on.

  • Agree he’s not responsible for the individual amounts but if he’s involved in transfers, and we don’t know that’s the case, he’s clearly pushing his chairman.

  • Without doubt this is the most unbelievable transfer window in all my years supporting Wycombe. Quite frankly I haven’t a clue what’s going in. We sign a Danish centre half for a then club record fee , bring a centre half from Derby ( who’s been sensational) and then we bring back a centre back who’s been on loan from WBA. Does this mean Low is going ? Few days left of the window, I still expect us to do more business. Absolute madness but certainly is fun.

  • Bizarre that little Wycombe are rejecting £6m bids. Never thought I'd see the day.

What's even more pleasing is that we got to the position we are in now by spending very little.

Some great recruitment to strengthen our position.

    I love my team.

  • Brilliant news! Taylor brings the ball out from the back better than any other CB that’s played this season.

Low may be out for longer or we’re making sure we’ve got cover.

I feel like Taylor could also do a job across all the back four, particularly if Harvie is out for a period.

Final thought, would we move to a back three if Grimmer is struggling still and Harvie out for awhile.

  • Low broke his nose on Saturday. Could be out for a while.

  • I’m sure autocorrect would know how to spell haemorrhoids.

Whoops! Clever clogs here thought your version was incorrect. Then up comes a correction to what I thought was the correct spelling.

    Sorry.

  • Its great. But lets not kid ourselves. We want Morley to be a Wycombe player by Monday. Its Simple. Lets do this

  • Maybe someone saw the indecision on bringing it out from the back just prior to our winner on Tuesday. Watched the final minutes on a loop, and that was a repeatedly cringy moment before GMac's heroics put it on a plate for the King.

Kone's header really reminded me of Garry Thompson's goal v Tottenham in the FA cup, which just so happened to take place eight years ago, (checks notes) yesterday!

  • constantly bring this back up, i worded it different to what the truth was to try give them benefit of the doubt

  • “Worded it different to what the truth was”.

And that is my last word on that matter.

  • haha okay mate. i worded it in favor of your beloved rice as i didnt want to believe what i heard to be the case and give them the benefit of doubt. I could write a whole essay on what has happened and i think my track record shows i know abit, so you keep bringing up your digs. im moving on as has everyone involved

  • Declan Skura is a truly wonderful prospect, capable of being an exceptional defender. But he is still so raw and I think the Barnsley game showed that. He needs a loan spell, probably at league two level, to gain experience to make him that exceptional defender. Can I say 100 per cent you can put trust him going for promotion to the Championship? I’m not so sure.

Presumably Anders has been signed with next season in mind.

If Low is staying put that’s how I understand the Taylor return. Although really don’t know how you choose two between Low, Taylor and Bradley.

  • It’s one of those ‘nice’ problems; but a problem nevertheless.

  • You might get pelters for that, like I everyone I like him and hope he progresses but if he comes in and plays ok people tend to comment about how superb he's been. He's for now maybe competing with Anders to be 4th choice centre back so unless Low goes a loan would be sensible , hopefully L2 or Lower L1 though this time. Gaz?

Don’t get me wrong I like him too. He’s already had some fine moments. But as a defender you need that experience.

  • I agree, great prospect but not yet quite ready for the first team at this level. Although neither was Kone when he joined and look where he is now.

  • Totally agree with this, he’ll benefit from a good run of games at league 2 level.

  • Presumably as well, Taylor is not costing too much.

(despite money apparently being no object at the moment!)

  • Purely a case of you can't have too many good players. We know how good Taylor was for us so there is no risk in bringing him in again. As others have said though, would expect that we see Skura or Hartridge depart on loan. Personally, don't see Joe Low going anywhere unless there is a significant jump in the rumoured bids.

  • Has anyone considered with Low, Bradley and Taylor it's a return to 3/5 at the back?

    Rav

    Kodua

    Taylor

    Bradley

    Low

    Harvie

    Humphreys

    Scowen

    Fred

    Kone

    Lubala

  • I'll add another no

  • I always think with 3 at the back it is better to play with 2 holding midfielders. Or 2 box to box which is probably not Humphreys ideal position. I like Kodua but he doesn’t yet have the experience to be playing RWB in a promotion push in my opinion.

I think 3 at the back needs to be an option, but for now I would keep going as we are

This. This is what’s wrong with this site at the moment.

Everything is not black or white.

he is not my beloved rice. I don’t love him, I don’t hate him but just because you don’t like him it doesn’t mean those that disagree with you, love him.

He has done things I don’t like. He has done things I do like. They are spending shit loads of money which is both exciting (on the pitch) and potentially awful of it. We could go on forever.

There’s shades of grey here people.

If you know a bit, say it as it is. You change the wording that “different to the truth”, it’s lying at worst or just putting your own opinion on facts as best.

I do have a couple of other questions. Why is Dan the one getting all the heat and not ML and Eduoard (or however you spell it)?

Do you think Dan is doing this doing all these awful things because that’s what he wants to do, or because the entirety of the leadership team want to do it?

These are rhetorical questions btw. They don’t need an answer. If you have this bad of an opinion about Rice, instead of aiming it at the vocal one that has the guts to stick his head up in public, aim it at the whole leadership most of whom sit in deathly silence. I have more of an exe to grind with them than Rice but that’s just me I guess.

Rice is being directed and working to a brief like any employee. Even senior ones.

anyway, it looks like I “Worded it different to what the truth was” in my last line of my last post.

I hope to be the truth now’s because this mud slinging around ourselves needs to stop.

I apologies to anyone reading this post.

  • Aaron Morley travelling down to Berkshire this weekend for Bolton’s game against Reading. Maybe Dan can get across there with a bag of money for Sharon and a contract for Aaron to sign. 👍👍👍👍.

    I can dream.

  • I've never actually been that confident that Kipper is the insider he and others claim him to be. There's lots of 'Wycombe will sign a player soon' comments that are broad enough to then be followed up by a 'deal fell through' type post when it doesn't happen. Names that he or she mentions as likely to sign tend to already be rumoured on Twitter by the time he / she brings them up.

  • I imagine any deal for Morley during this window will be virtually impossible now. New manager coming in and only a few days left to trade, Bolton would have to be daft to sell a key player to a rival unless it’s silly money. Silly money that if we were willing to pay we surely would have done by now.

He’s just changed his Instagram bio back to Bolton now as well so maybe he’s accepting his fate.

  • That last line surely rules it out.

It was always the flimsiest of hopes that he hadn't changed it back from Wycombe, as if a pro footballer's first priority was a one liner on some social media!
