Would love this and makes total sense. He is never gonna have a meaningful career at West Ham but has a chance to build outside of the Premier League before climbing back up to the top level.
I guess with Kodua, it gives us option to do that and we have the knowledge that we have an attacking wing-back on the right? He still an ok make-shift RB who has an eye for goal.
Remember, Jasper joined us as a Left-winger looking to cut in from the left
I’ll be so happy when this transfer window is shut. It’s shown us the chippiest side of this site, exacerbated by us being movers and shakers for the first time ever.
Should we be (more) worried about Kone? I have a really bad feeling that Villa might be sniffing around with Watkins and Duran potentially moving on. I hope they will have a proven Champions League striker lined up to help them in the latter stages but could they come in and see if they can get Kone on the cheap?
I reckon we're safe but wouldn't rule out a move from them in the summer. Everton have got to be interested too if he keeps on like this. Then we're looking at 15m+ imo - Dan Rice doesn't strike me as one to cave in, no matter how big the club.
@TheDancingYak when you say ‘everything is not black and white’, what about penguins? Zebra crossings are black and white too. Everton mints … clearly some things are black and white.
I expected better of Matt then this desperate bidding, hasn’t unsettled Kone but could easily do so . Before anyone says it’s Luton board Matt will be involved.
“Given current market conditions and movements in League 1, with Stansfield in particular costing £15m, taking into account where we rate Kone compared to Stansfield and his peers, and our push to the Championship and revenues linked to that, the pivotal role and performances he has played, and the substantial investment we have put into Richard from a development angle, the club will not accept any more bids from yourselves below £20m excluding add-ons. Now f*ck off you absolute sausages”.
*I don’t know Dan, so I don’t know 100%, but I doubt he’d use the word sausages 😁
Matt Bloomfield has only one priority and that is to do the best job he can for Luton Town. If that involves attempting to sign a Wycombe player so be it. Matt Bloomfield owes us absolutely nothing and to suggest otherwise is insulting to him.
Would Gareth Ainsworth do this? Highly doubt it. Disagree wholeheartedly with this. Bloomfield owes us basic respect and dignity - he’s lacking in that with a fourth (!) bid.

The permanent signing of Kodua would make sense, not least to free up an additional loan signing for the matchday squad.
That should be a terrace chant:
I am an architect, they call me Matt Butcher
3 at the back makes sense for our sudden array of quality centre back options, but not much sense on other elements.
Like do you play 2 centre mids, and leave out one of Scowen, 850k Westegaard or Humphreys? And not sure the latter works in a mid 2.
Or midfield 3 to incorporate the above, and 2 strikers, meaning you leave out all the vast array wide attacking options?
Plus we haven't once seen a back 3 work in the months and months Bloomfield first tried it, or the Huddersfield game recently.
I certainly don’t want us to go anywhere near three at the back again. Huddersfield was a disaster.

Is that going to be his name going forward, '850k Westergaard'? Sounds like a revolver.

That or New Danish fella #2
We should dub MW as 'The Million €uro Man'.

Wrexham are after Sam Smith of Reading.
But are Zebra's Black with white stripes or White with Black stripes?
Another bid in for Kone from Luton. £7m total including £4m up front. Sky reporting it as a "take it or leave it" offer.
I hope that the response from us is a swift ‘jog on’
Insulting once more
Oh yes - we were turning down 6m because we wanted 7m.
@glasshalffull no sensitivty here, happy to have my errors highlighted when I make them, it is after all how we learn.

Serioulsy the club needs to tell Luton (very publicly) he isnt for sale for any price
On the one hand, Blooms owes us nothing. On the other hand, he's taking the piss a bit now.
leave it

It’s not about Bloomfield it’s about us saying ‘NO go away’.
I quite agree
