Make the prize for winning the EFL a Euro Conference spot.
If getting rid of PL clubs devalues EFL Cup too much, give Euro spot to club from the bottom three divisions who made it the furthest, or have a tournament if some of them made it to the same round.
1 is there for Prem hoarded kids to have a run out and be schooled without having to let them actually live like us lower league peasant.
2 is there to pacify other clubs in the Prem that they may be able to win a trophy and let their reserves have a run out in early rounds, or at least lose to a top 4 club at Wembley
3 and 4 won't happen as lower Prem clubs won't have newcomers and upstarts taking their places in Europe and the funding that goes with it.
I understand how gambling works (though I don't like it) after living in Las Vegas for 14 years!
I just like speculating and discussing things that are related to Wycombe, whether directly or indirectly. I find it fun!
I am completely happy for others to avoid mentioning GA by name again until he has signed a contract and only facts can be discussed, though. That sounds fun too.
And possibly the most enjoyable part. Once GA finally gets the Shamrock Rovers job, Blooms rocks up at Cardiff, and we hire Salvador Gaminche from Huesca, there will be nothing left to discuss. 😁
Interesting little aside. If Gareth is appointed at Shrewsbury, one of the bottom two in each of the four divisions will be managed by ex Wycombe players.
That Colchester forum post is pretty funny really. If GA hadn’t skipped off to QPR, Colchester may be in a much better place with Blooms still at the helm and Kone probably rattling in goals for them in League 2.
This also ties into a trend where newly relegated clubs from L1 are often struggling against double relegation to the Conference. While there are plenty of exceptions like Port Vale, the likes of Forest Green, Carlisle, and Morecambe are all cautionary tales.

Excellent knowledge!
Headlines too easy with Chelsea hammering NOA , floodgates, goals going in two by two.
No clearer sign of Uefa's new competitions being utter garbage than Chelsea not feeling any need to register better players for the early rounds.
NOAH fail to p-ARK the bus.
Yes, it's too easy.
Sadly 1. and 2. are probably incompatible. Prem won't relinquish any Euro slots, however meagre.
Edit: sorry, meant 2 and 3 are incompatible
Yeah,

Taking prem teams out of the league cup just utterly kills it.
Imagine if the big draw is Coventy or someone.
Coventry? I can't imagine anyone wanting to go there.
I don't know - a trip to Wembley and a Euro place would be a lot more exciting than the current setup.
Lady Godiva did!
My wife regularly sends me to Coventry!
Shrewsbury would deserve him if he goes - their fans have been almost universally welcoming of the idea.
If they are as physical as they were the last couple of seasons, could be a good fit from a squad perspective?
Good for both of them...I hope Blooms has not confided in him too much! 😉
And they have Aaron Pierre.
It would be. But pointless speculating when next manager markets have no relevance to the probability of the next manager until immediately before
You're right - shut down the discussion forum! 😁
The tiny amount of money being bet on this would mean 10 quid on Neil Warnock would make him become the 1/5 favourite.

Pointless specul;ation is 90% of any forum.

I like to imagine this post on the Colchester forum being said through gritted teeth.

What a brilliant catch! Tip of the cap.

It’s a funny old game.
Good knowledge Dev. I feel for Mike Williamson, he won his first game as Carlisle manager but since then has taken 2 point from seven games.
It's already dead.

Tell that to the full house we had for Villa.
How full would that have been for any champ team?
