David Coote is claiming the video isn't real. If this is some form of deep-fake, AI generated content, then A) it's very impressive, because it looks genuine, and B) the PL have got a real job on their hands proving it
This has actually been rumoured among their fans, so I don't see it, as I feel as though they had takeover rumours before the Reading biscuit crumbled apart.
Your take, though amusing, is also spot on for reason #2 why it would be strange.
Also doesn't help when you have recently retired refs saying stuff like they usually let the first bookable foul go like Mike Deane did in the Chelsea v Arsenal game on Sunday.
A Co commentator asked if that was in the guidebook and he laughed it off that it was OK to admit now he's not a ref!
Clattenburg also recently said something like the ref should give a few soft free kicks for the home side because the crowd were getting rowdy!
There has to be some level of refs managing the game, when they book everyone who deserves it and someone eventually gets a red they get accused of being overly fussy and ruining the game.
I liked the suggestion that if they followed through with any of their directives the players would have to adapt but they seem to start each season with a plan around something (eg time wasting) and then just water it down and forget about it after a few weeks.
GA reported to be very close with Shrewsbury, negotiating (supposedly) over bringing Dobbo now.
Though I would have trepidation about playing a Gaz team twice, it would be nice to finally be able to sniffily say those worn out cliches like "You know what you are going to get with an Ainsworth team," and "I wouldn't want to watch that every week."
Might have been lost amongst other things but great work here:
Scotland are closing the gap on the world's top teams and can still finish second in their Nations League group despite an eight-game run without a win, assistant head coach John Carver insists.
They were promoted to League 2 in 2022, so perhaps had two years to meet the requirement. The Rose were hoping to spend any money on a level artificial pitch, but haven't raised enough in time. Good job the Isthmian League were relaxed about sloping pitches!

R: "Now Joe, Reading hasn't worked out, any of your ex clubs worth a whirl?"
J: "Shrewsbury would be worth a shout."
R "But I'm not getting any younger and that's miles from...yeah I'm a Shrew('d businessman!)"

It makes me worried about AI generating a fake football clu...oh wait, MK Dons.

I'm in Spain for Shrewsbury (a) and wasn't too bothered about missing it. I am now, if only to give him a cheer
Shrewsbury's interim coach said the interview process has finished, so we should know about GA/Dobbo soon one way or another.
Scottish League 2 side Bonnyrigg Rose have been deducted six points because of their sloping pitch. Apparently it slopes 8-10 feet end to end.

They've got a mountain to climb now.
Is this a ne feature they introduced during the season?
Seems odd to have been accepted to the league and then deducted points.

Delusional.

Maybe he means top teams as in highest altitude? Scotland are neck and neck with Bolivia and Nepal, after all.
A munro?

Might only be a Corbett!
Could be a Graham, more likely a Donald!
