I may not like it or understand it, but the best stuff of whatever musical genre will always stand the test of time...though even the rebellious Stones have had to drop songs that are contentious in a modern setting...
Please explain how you "blood in" a goalkeeper? Bring him on for the last few minutes of every game?
For me - the only way to gain experience as a goalkeeper, and the only way to learn - is to be in the situation. Only then will you know if they are truly good enough.
I bet the number of keepers who could have made it, but didn't, is astounding thinking about it. 92 league positions available to hundreds of thousands of young players dreaming of becoming a goalkeeper. Unless you get a lucky break, you have no chance.
If it wasn't for Allsop getting injured when he did - I would bet that Stockdale's career would be over now.
I mean, I'm sure quite a lot of us have seen him play for Mansfield and are making a judgement based on that. And it was obvious when he was at Southend that he was on the up.
I guess parent club prerogative is what it is, but they already have Heaton as backup, plus another 2 reserve GKs in addition to Bishop - admittedly out of those, Bishop looks like the most experienced.
If the above is true, decision time for the club. Do we wait and potentially we don’t get Bishop until end of transfer window.? That’s five more league games. Seems a risky strategy . Or do we move on ? By going down it appears only one direction in chasing Bishop, we have left ourselves in a difficult situation. As we know Ainsworth didn’t see Dickinson as No 1 by going after Bishop, so interesting to see what the club do now. See from the press conference today we’re missing a couple of big players. Centre half perhaps. Another area of recruitment, we knew we needed to resolve but haven’t. I hope we don’t end up regretting our lack of recruitment in two key areas , by not doing them sooner.
I understand that Cheltenham were also after Kovar on loan but ducked out of it after getting a similarly non-commital response from Manyoo as to when he may be able to join.
Whatever bizarro Manc reasons there are for delaying, and whatever comes to pass, I am sure the club will make the best decision it can under the circumstances and we will carry on going to the matches.
I won't be tearing up my season ticket and throwing it at the pitch if Tyla is number one for a bit and Grimmer stays as CB.
Fulham have just signed Bernd Leno from Arsenal and have a number 2 in Marek Rodak who is the Slovakian Number 1 and was the Number 1 goalkeeper for Fulham last year.
They also have an experienced third keeper in Paulo Gazzaniga who looks like he has no hope of playing this season. He's Argentinian but has lived in the UK since joining Gillingham in 2011. He's 30, 6ft 5 and has played once for Argentina as a sub in a friendly against Mexico.
Not sure if he would pass the Wycombe all round good guy test but he is also out of contract in 2023 and might fancy playing at a club where he is Number 1. Looking at his career in England he's never played a full season as the Number 1 keeper at any club and only appeared in 83 League games in 11 years.
Although they can run their club however they like, the level of stock-piling at Man Utd is crazy. Bishop isn’t getting anywhere near the first team this season, so they seem to be keeping him purely to use him as a training ground ‘keeper.
He must be getting pretty frustrated with all of this as well now.

Sadly (I think sadly) I wasn’t able to access the videos you posted (I assume) links to. It wasn’t for want of trying.
Pesky BBC. It’s now on Netflix. Was on iplayer.

Even Sunderland fans gave Anthony Patterson a chance at 20 years old. They has numerous loans - all failed.
He is now their number 1 in the Championship.
They had alternate "senior" keepers on the books though
If we bring in a keeper who on paper is "league 1" with the experience to back it up, and GA still picks Dickinson, that's a very different situation
@micra The Kanneh Mason family
Alternative keepers that they paid money for/loaned and the real answer to their crisis came from their youth team.
Nobody has seen Bishop play. We weren't screaming about him when he was at Sarfend. It's only because he's at Man United that we assume he's good.
George Clegg anyone....?
No we weren't looking out for alternatives keepers last season, but Bishop had decent reviews at a decent standard
It's just a different level of risk than going with Dickinson, who could be great, but could also be 5 divisions out of his depth right now

That’s the one. Thank you. And Sheku Kanneh-Mason is the cellist who won Young Musician of the Year. Such an amazing and thoroughly likeable family.
Yes, a remarkable and lovely family indeed.
Jordon Ibe videoed keeping fit in a Wycombe shirt with the caption "the comeback is on"
Can he play in goal?
Seen it suggested in the media that Man United are now unwilling to let Bishop go until they’ve signed (yet) another goalkeeper.
Lets hope we’ve some other irons in the fire as this is looking less and less likely to be resolved quickly.

The lists are finalised after / on transfer deadline day so we might have a little bit of a wait to find out whats going on
Who's the reserve GK other than Kovar?

So many assumptions that this was the only thing we tried.
Looks like we're going into our first proper test of the season without a Stocko replacement, then. Madness, whatever the reasons.
I'm legally obliged to state that this is not a personal attack on Tyla Dickinson.

No chance Gazzaniga drops to League One. They need three GKs anyway.
No chance either Rodak or Gazz drop to league 1, both would easily find a championship club if allowed to leave
