The problem with punishing time wasting is that it’s down to an individual to determine whether a player is time wasting or not. There is no black and white - a good example is the groan army fans booing an injured Alex Lynch for time wasting, moments before he was stretchered off. I can imagine that if they had any, they would have been waving their yellow cards in the air.
@LeedsBlue said: @micra We were interested enough to win through two rounds and secure a plum away tie with Man City, an experience which several thousand Wycombe fans thoroughly enjoyed. Gareth would be disappointed in your lack of interest and support for what the lads achieved in the Carabao Cup this season.
Mea culpa with a capital C. My perception has obviously been polluted by by a few instances in recent years when it has seemed that cup games took a much lower priority than league games (for understandable reasons).

Welcome to the Prairie State @Shev. All of it is better than Chicago!
Chicago is a giant American Luton.
Chicago is the best American city
Even many folks from Chicago don't think that! It's horribly divided racially, fantastically corrupt, terribly crime ridden and miserably cold in the winter.
On the plus side, downtown is geniunely iconic, with marvelous architecture, and the food is really good.
In the most widely cited quality of life rankings over here, it came in at 102nd out of 150 cities this year.
Am I right in thinking you're usually in Denver / Colorado @Shev? If so, can you tell everybody that they've absolutely ruined 303 day, which for at least 20 years had been a celebration of the Roland TB-303 synth until they hijacked it.

Another good example is that game recently where an opposition keeper came tearing out, absolutely wiped his own defender out cold.
The first reaction was to BOOOO for the stoppage, then it quickly dawned on everyone it could be serious.

Yes, I live in Denver. You just taught me something new - I did not even realize 303 day was a thing! The synth version sounds much better...

I had probably the most amazing day of my life in Denver a few years back. My family have called Denver home for the past 25 years or so. Great place to live.

Fair play. It's certainly an interesting one! If you are ever that way and want a beer, I am up there pretty regularly (every 4-6 weeks) for work now.

Glad to hear it! We love it here, though it is getting very pricey so we may not be here for the long haul.

I know the Carabao Cup comes irritatingly early in the season (second game) but I don't think we do too badly for Cup runs for a club of our size.

I think it's a relatively recent thing for Denver, much older thing for ageing ravers.
