Gape, who is now injured again

Oh no, just a ball to the face - looks bloodied but ok!

  • I forget they're still using the iFollow feed - until we miss a whole passage of playing because they're showing the replay of a half-chance.

Btw the Watford commentary was awful. The commentator seemingly doesn’t not know the word ‘those’. He kept talking about getting in ‘them areas’ and getting it to ‘them players’.

From your description, I’d say it’s Derek Payne. By name and nature.

Almost certainly. My dog has a bigger vocabulary than Payne.

  • We look so fragile at the back. Any ideas why all of a sudden ?

Naming a different defence four games in a row probably doesn't help

  • It’s not been what you’d call settled at the back, changes pretty much every game with either injuries or tactical change

  • Not as fragile as Accy, mind you - they're rubbish!

  • My word Gape is playing well.

  • Some awful defending in this game.

  • Accy are getting some soft free kicks.

  • Some unexpected scores in other L1 fixtures Sunderland 2 up at Wigan, Fleetwood 3 up at Pompey

  • I don't remember seeing a John Coleman Accy team perform as poorly as this

  • Sunderland taking points of Wigan would be an unpleasant surprise.

Kaikai with seven goal involvements at 0.94/90 - highest rate in squad bar Bayo. Also won that pen v Wimbledon from which JJ equalised. Has looked like making something happen whenever he's been on the pitch, shame he didn't get more of a chance sooner.

  • Late to the thread, out with the family….

How are we doing overall and what about the Gape / Scowen combo?

Fairly inevitable with injuries and poor form but agree it doesn't help.

  • Very odd game.

  • Gape playing ridiculously well for someone that’s been out for so long.
Apart from that same old story - ball on grass we look great. Long punts we look ‘industrial’ at best.

I would guess that having a below par keeper doesn't instill confidence in your defence

  • Be good if @bluntphil could move away from the other commentator. Bit intrusive.

  • I don’t mean Matt of course!

  • Even if he were to leave after one season, it has been an absolute delight to see Sam Vokes in a Wycombe shirt.

Supposedly Spurs want to sign him.

  • We’ve played with wind so far - scrappy game. Feels like they are getting rub of green from ref so far

I'm rather hoping our second-year option is one we can just trigger like we did with Mehmeti

Stocko has made the odd small mistake and suddenly he's "below par"?

  • In case I don’t get the chance to post again today, I’ll leave with the obligatory 2 comments…..

    1. Nick Freeman

    2. Posh continue to stink out the Championship

  • 7 blown leads.
