Though there are those who will bemoan a lack of ambition I assume we are hoping for survival but planning for relegation and so signings will be made on that basis and as Gareth has said will make financial sense for the club. Anything above those two options will be gravy. I too think that we have players who will thrive in a more skillful league with better officials. Gape. Wheeler. Samuel. Stewart. Possibly Freeman. And though we will get beaten regularly there are enough teams we could take points from to be optimistic and we are bound to have the odd surprise victory or we would not be Wycombe! If we draw one of the big teams early on i would not be surprised to see our first game televised!! As for Ibe not sure he is in the Tyson mould for a glorious return yet but if he does as others have said maybe Dobbo might be the one to save him.
You say if we draw one of the big teams. I'd word it the other way. I think it's inevitable we'll get the first tv game, unless we have Rotherham, Coventry or one or two other lesser teams.
EFL Zone does get the odd thing right, but about the best you can hope for is that they're looking through local press reports and just not crediting them.
A player with a track record for missing and showing up late to training, who's only played in the A-League for the last two years? We wouldn't go anywhere near him.
Now that is an interesting one!
If Wikipedia is to be trusted, the 5’3” 17 year old London born winger made his debut for Celtic as a 13 year old (presumably about 4’10”). That was for the U20 development team. His nationality is described as British, Ivorian, Scottish.
Some of them are quite funny if you follow the links:
“Brentford’s Ollie Watkins is set to make a big money move to local rivals Accrington Stanley, after an eleven and half million pound offer has been made, reports say“
That old West London / North West local rivalry obviously too much to resist for Andy ‘moneybags’ Holt

Would anyone take Aaron Pierre back if it were an option?
Not as a Championship starter, perhaps as a squad player.
Cover for Darius?
I think he would be cover/replacement, but it would be interesting to see if that raised Darius to another level to have further competition in the form of Pierre in the squad. Aaron was pretty impressive against us when he came with Shrewsbury, but must be worth a consideration at least by Gaz and Dobbo?

No chance, he was a good defender, but nowhere near good enough on the ball for me
Oddly a pretty good dribbler and ball carrier with a good shot but still a fairly lousy range of passing. Unless he was just super keen to get rid asap. Brilliant man marker would do a good job for us if he didn't mind not playing every week.

That’s better.

Original sources of those rumours, which don't strike me as particularly credible...

You could be right @Malone
Ross McCormack anyone?

I think I'm going to wait, look at their records and comment on the players we actually sign.
You're on the wrong thread @Wendoverman !
I usually am @NorsQuarters that is true.

Didn’t know you had a track record for missing and turning up late @NorsQuarters !
What? Celtics starlet who is about to break into the first team.... Well that is a bizarre rumour I suppose...
Story of my life @micra
I look at it more as "going with the flow" mind you.
5ft 3?
Made his debut at 13?
What on earth

I would but I accept it would be an unpopular choice with some of the true fans...

Of course!
Aaron Pierre coming back would be a great move. Would welcome it excitedly
Shouldn't even be a debate.
Loved Pierre, but I'd probably go along with this view.
Would probably take a decent fee though?
