Max was on the bench again for Jagiellonia Bialystok’s champions league win. He’s yet to play a minute for his new club, including their first two league games.
Had a better evening than Tjay though as Lincoln lost 5-0 on the night in Baku, so crashed out 7-0 on aggregate. Off to Hungary next week to play Dinamo Minsk in the Europa League though, knowing Belarus clubs are playing REAL bad this summer (one of them lost to a team from San Marino) and a win would ensure they'd at least reach the Conference League groups.
Two ex players of decent calibre both getting on a bit I guess.... but surely it must feel like a slight fall from grace playing Stratford in hope of being snapped up by someone? The way the cookie crumbles...
Neither really hit the heights they might have been expected to?
Not sure about the last sentence, they were promising kids at a L1/L2 club, they went on to play for big clubs and make lots of appearances, not everyone can play regularly in the Prem or internationally
But as you say they can't be considered in the same way as say Ibe or Eze or maybe not even Anis. I think they were both young lads from league 2 at the time?
Also fair but I don't know their form and fitness and what money they are after. There's no shortage of people who want to be footballers and academies spit out competition at a pretty high rate.

A shame! Not sure if that’s what he signed up for
Yeah. I was about to say the same

Matt Phillips signs for Oxford.
Oxford signing very well this summer. Annoyingly.
Are Oxford literally just making signings to annoy us this summer?
It will make it even sweeter when we pass them going up as they slide back down
With the signings they made and the manager I think they will be fine this year. Plenty of other strugglers in that league.
When we went up, were we duty bound to upgrade the floodlights immediately do you or anyone else know?
Wonder if Oxford would get special dispensation because they'd have a new ground in 3 or 4 years potentially.
Sadly I agree... I think they will do ok
.... its nice to imagine and picture it though isn't it!
There's might have been better to start with
Dan Scarr just signed for Wrexham
Another big signing
They’ve hardly signed anyone this close season due to the number of existing players under contract and the limit on squad sizes.
Decent League One CB but probably not a player many here would have back in front of our current 3-4 CB’s
Good coverage though.
Important that somebody says "Tiny" at this point. Thanks @floyd.
Well, at least one person must have known to what/whom you allude, @our_frank.
Hold me closer, Tiny Dan Scarr, @micra. The only gasroom nickname to beat your own Mild Thing.
Nnamdi Ofoborh on the bench for Swindon today.
Looks like he's on for 2nd half.
I’ve posted on the Swindon thread, for what it’s worth.
Good luck to Stocko, who has been named Assistant Manager at Blyth Spartans.
Charles Dunne and Kadeem Harris will both feature for an ‘out of contract XI,’ in a friendly at Stratford Town tonight.
Very interesting. A good initiative it seems.

Fair point.
Still though, to be finding themselves without a club and having to advertise themselves like this....
Both 31.... its not really that old to have been decent and now find themselves here is it?
