I thought James Richings was tied up with Chesham United. His piece in Friday’s BFP about the club gives the impression that he’s part of the setup. He also uses ‘proven’ as the past tense of the verb to prove (not as an adjective which is the “correct” use), something borrowed/returned from the USA that has recently become all too prevalent.
I think it was him who let one in from the other end v Stevenage away. And was it v Bristol Rovers in the Torquay survival season he made a massive error too?,
Tjay De Barr scores in the penalty shootout as Lincoln Red Imps beat Ħamrun Spartans to progress to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Champions League. They'll face Qarabağ in the next round once again. However, progressing to Q2 means that even if they lose, they'll end up in the Europa League - and if they lose there, they'll join the Conference League play-off round, one round away from a return to the Group Stage, which Tjay missed out on last time as he moved to Wycombe during that campaign.
We've been blessed with so many decent humans in the past few years. Once Ainsworth cleared the decks a little I can't think of many that slipped through the character net.
Man City are one of the reasons why I don't watch Premier League football anymore. Loveless, pondering, over-egged, dull, etc etc. If I hear a pundit or commentator describe a game as 'fascinating' that's a red flag to me. It's a graveyard for creative players. Yeah they win loads, well played, brilliant, good for you but f me it's terrible to watch for 90% of the time. I'm delighted that Palmer left as he would have rotted. Eze going to city would be heart-breaking.
Up to a point I agree, but he could learn a lot playing alongside De Bruyne who I think is the best all round midfielder in the Premier League. Also, he's unlikely to experience Champions League football with Palace. I think Liverpool would suit him best.

A humble man showing thanks to us. What a top lad
Taylor Clark and Ollie Pendlebury both start for Farnborough in their first pre season friendly.
Also starting is Mason Bloomfield who we should definitely find a place for here.

Suppose he counts just about as an ex-player. Good news anyway.
Fit-again Saxon Earley gives Plymouth Argyle pre-season boost - Plymouth Live (plymouthherald.co.uk)
At last he can put away his fishing rod and concentrate on his football.
No more will he be an angler Saxon....
I see that Joe Jacobson has been appointed CEO at Reading. On the financial side, I presume.
Would be CFO if on the financial side?
Dennis Adeniran has signed for St Mirren.

Not strictly/definitively ex but rarely sighted over the past two years, it was good to see Jack Young in the Loughborough photograph.
Pre-season so this is somewhat tongue in cheek, but just the three goals conceded by Ryan Allsop for the self-proclaimed L1 winners Birmingham.
Potts and Kodua featured in West Ham’s friendly today. Interesting to see how their development progresses with the Hammers.
Kodua could certainly be back, pre-season is ultimately just extended training.
Matt Ingram having a medical at Oxford
Just when they couldn't be more annoying.
That goal by Northampton floating over Matt’s head top left Valley End (cf Franco at Wembley) still haunts me.

Then there was that incredible save away at Scunny (maybe 2014?)…

Found it. 1m 35s. What a save that is.

We’ve had our fair share of unpleasant characters over the years haven’t we?
That body of work takes some beating doesn't it.
Which manager was he under? Another of Taylor's charming lads?
Sido's on the look out for a club. He's just been written about on Twitter
What a piece of shit that bloke is. I do hope he has a blinder behind bars this time, a real top notch time.... I do hope nobody rapes him.
In total contrast to the previous post.... SIDO!!!! What a guy! Total gent, total Wycombe legend 👏 🙌 👍 👌

Ingram confirmed at Oxford.
Man City supposedly weighing up a move for Eze. That would be rather sad. The joy of his football is so opposite to their sterile lab-ball.
Definitely.
Grealish was arguably the most exciting player in the league for Villa.
Now he's a squad player who holds it then passes it back to the man who passed to him. Never taking anyone on anymore.

It's hard to knock Pep's record if we put the circumstances of how City have got to the position they have.
But so many teams try and play the same style now, that I really long for the day Pep goes and another seismic change in football style.
Bring back proper wingers who can actually cross the ball on the side that they play on!
Bring back 2 strikers being the norm.
Basically bring the mid 90s back when you had more entertainment, more teams with star players etc.
Maybe just getting older!
Heaven forfend that Guardiola gets the England gig or has that been ruled out?
