Eze runs the risk of being a Joe Cole figure (or even a Tony Currie if you wish). He’s an amazing talent but sometimes you need to just accept that the cost of his genius is that others have to do work around him. He may not make the step up to the top four teams without sacrificing some of his creative genius.
Palace have sold Olise for a fortune and Guehi and others look to be going, whether that's for compliance or stadium finances it won't help the first team , if they are expecting Eze to perform heroics every week that probably isn't his fault. Hope he gets a move.
With Fred and Scott Kashket currently without clubs, I was thinking about how much more we tend to get out of many players than other clubs, with these two being notable examples. It's not always a fair comparison (Fred's other clubs were mostly higher up, for example), but there are still some stark differences.
Kashket with Wycombe: 129 apps, 31 goals, 7 assists, a goal per 205.77 minutes
Kashket with Others: 94 apps, 5 goals, 10 assists, a goal per 890.4 minutes
Fred with Wycombe: 114 apps, 23 goals, 10 assists, a goal per316.95 minutes
Fred with Others: 229 apps, 17 goals, 24 assists, a goal per650.47 minutes
A really good fit for him. A very decent manager and a club that is not expected to hit the heights. He’s way too good for us, we knew it. I hope that he gets enough game time so he can rock the Premier League in 25/26
One minute all the players are like proper grown men to you. Then there's that pride that someone around your age is getting games. Then you start becoming older than a few players. Then suddenly there are no players older than you.
But ex players' kids starting to emerge really is next level.
Players being younger than you is hard to take. Managers being younger than you is even harder. But multi-millionaire owners being younger than you really is the killer.
Hakeeb Adelakun was excellent for Doncaster Rovers in the last three months of last season and rejected a contract offer from them in the summer. I wonder if he’s regretting that decision now.
Harry Kite is the most surprising for me. He is certainly capable of playing in League One. He’d be a good option for us.

Eze has a luguvbrious yet powerful style which can be misinterpreted.
I noticed when Annis scored last week how his team mates were half hearted in their congrats, he does seem to have an unattractive chippy edge to him.
I'd not seen the word luguvbrious before so looked it up.
Assume its a typo of lugubrious? But the definition for that seems to be sad and dismal?
Did you mean languid?
Think it means they went to Loughborough
I suppose it’s just possible that Eze may be reining it in a bit in case any of the rumoured multi-million pound moves should materialise.

I used to have a luguvbrious style but it cleared up with a cream from the pharmacy.
I used to walk that way before I discovered talcum powder.

Anthony Stewart, Charles Dunne and Kadeem Harris all without clubs.
Potts has gone to Portsmouth
Good luck to Potts deserves a go at the championship after last season with us.
No disrespect to us, but it'd have been a criminal waste of his talent to have him back in league 1.
Great opportunity to play every week in the championship. I look forward to seeing what he can do.
Good luck to the lad he really deserves his chance at that level. Excellent player and a real nice person as well. Have a great season Freddie!!!

Stewart Castledines son, Leo, has just signed on loan with Shrewsbury from Chelsea.
I don’t like the fact the sons of players I watched play at Adam’s park are now playing against us. Means I’m well old.
Circle of life innit.

Just wait until you realise you're the grumpy old git on the terrace who moans about everything and everyone.
I can’t believe that you’re anywhere near that stage.
Three ex players here
There’s a couple in there that’s surprise me
Dwight Gayle would be a good acquisition for a League 1/2 club.
Anthony Stewart now sorted then ? Or were you looking at a different list @Blue_since_1990 ?
Stewart still shown as having no club. The above is only a list of the players who took part in that one match I think @micra .
Blackman would be a good back up keeper signing with a short term contract until January.

I was thinking the same on Blackman.
I'd take him
Wow.... I didn't expect him to be 34 though tbh
But still.... id take him on a free if he's kept himself fit to throw on for last 20/30 mins... he knows where the goal is.
