Two in two for Luke O’Nien. Possibly fortunate not to have been sent off after 30 seconds. It wasn’t a foul but he was the last man, he stuck a leg out and on another day, the ref would have given it.
Just came across a familiar name. Billy Knott played for Concord Rangers in their 3-1 F.A. Cup preliminary round home defeat to Milton Keynes Irish yesterday.
I go over there a lot and was actually staying over near their stadium this summer, looks really nice. What people might not appreciate is the fierce rivalry amongst the Bucharest teams with FCSB's famous owner already mocking Lennon just a few games in. The story behind the split between 'FCSB' and the original Steaua Bucharest is fascinating. Perhaps one for @flymofrank to write up on?
Nice assist from Tjay in the Conference League playoff vs Larne last night. Reminiscent of his assist for Mellor's only Wycombe goal https://x.com/BBCSPORTNI/status/1826703812599460062?t=9bk05vwBE1IyP-eYhZdpvQ&s=19
Obscure but former Chairboy and now player-manager for Slough, Scott Davies, scored in his side’s win against a Hornchurch side containing Angelo Balanta. Charlie Horlock was in net for the Rebels. According to the Slough website, Charlie lives in Wycombe and is a PE teacher in the town.
Wanted to see how Uche was getting on in Scotland. Turns out he twisted his knee in a freak accident at home, shortly after signing for St Johnstone. He ended up requiring surgery with a four month recovery, which puts him at an October return. Poor guy hasn’t had great luck has he.
Mehmeti has been dropped and Bristol City fans are back to whining about him. Yet another player who Wycombe got the best out of, but who has sadly stalled elsewhere. If he never cracks on, Bristol City should be charged with crimes against football.
Interestingly, Palace fans now having a moan about Eze too, saying he is lazy and not playing hard now. Ridiculous!

Fred Onyedinma is about to sign for Turkish side Amedspor. His new teammates includes Britt Assombalonga and Adama Traore.

Great free kick by Eze ruled out and scrapped from history for unconnected people pissing about in the wall.
Why can't they urinate before kick off!
Traore is still at Fulham, isn't he?
And the other Adama Traore is at Ferencváros
Possibly the West African equivalent of Smith.
You were expecting my usual response, weren’t you ?! Love your pithy comments.
Forino was an unused substitute for Bolton today.
Please tell me we're not going to have a blow by blow Forino update every single week, even if it's just playing or not playing 🤣
This is the ex-players thread.
It is, but the main idea is them doing something notable.
Forino not playing isn't particularly notable.
Being fit enough to sit on a bench is fairly notable!
This is the former Hull man, but it would appear to be quite a common name!

Still only 31!
Taylor Clark scores his first goal of the season for Farnborough. Not an ex player but I couldn’t find the loan thread.
Neil Lennon has been sacked as manager of Rapid Bucharest after just 6 games.
Rapid!

Richard Keogh been installed as caretaker manager of Blackpool after sacking Neil Critchley after 2 games with back to back defeats.
Hopefully he'll pick himself to mark Kone on the 31st.
Killian Phillips has joined St Mirran on a season-long loan-to-buy deal.
Darius Johnson (trialist) has signed for Phoenix Rising.
Didn't know he played cricket
