I would give him another chance with us but he has to be told if he leaves again that's it he's done. It was only 4 years ago he was MOTM at Wembley and if looked after he can play for many more seasons.
I actually wonder if Blooms might buck the long trend of bringing in at least one ex-Wycombe player per year (a streak which is at over a decade now). With the new ownership, I wonder if the thought process will be different?
I should say that I hope not - the old players who come back are usually great upon their return.
How many decent CBs do you think we need, out of interest? For me, knowing Grimmer can deputize there means we have four already, so a dedicated decent CB pushes us to five gives us plenty of options.
I was referring to quality rather than quantity. You say “very good” whereas I’d use other adjectives.
One of the reasons for our encouraging finish to last season was the exceptional performances of Chris Forino-Joseph and Nigel Lonwijk. We have now lost both and it’s going to be very difficult to replace them with players of similar quality.
I am amazed how some people still think Taff is crap, and take credit away.
As far as our run in, the CB pairing was almost never Forino-Lonwijk for clean sheets.
The famous 0-0 at home to Derby was a Low-Taff partnership, with Lonwijk playing, but out at LB.
The 0-0 away to Blackpool and 2-0 win at Shrewsbury featured Low-Forino as the CBs.
2-0 at home to Northampton and 1-0 home to Wigan was Taff-Lonwijk.
It's fine to acknowledge we have lost talent in Lonny and Forino, both of whom would be at home a tier above, but Low and Taff are no slouches at our level.
Would be interesting to see the stats on how many games Taf and Forino have actually missed.
I swear some people seem to almost think Taf brings it on himself for some inexplicable reason where Forino is just unlucky or its growing pains or its the training ground etc
Taff is definitely a divisive figure, but for me he is brilliant. Just bullies attackers physically. We improved a lot defensively once he was healthy in the Championship, too, let alone L1.

Es kommt nach Hause
It's coming Rome
Haven't we suffered enough, could it happen?.....
Sorry?
Kourtney Hause is going to Rome?
Nice one. Thanks.

Nathan Tyson has signed for Clay Cross Town in the Northern Counties East Division One.
Looks in good shape. Probably a childhood dream to play at Clay Cross because of the famous rebellion of the local councillors.
Angelo Balanta has joined Hornchurch, newly promoted to National League South.
Might have missed this and hardly a shock but Anthony Stewart has been released from Aberdeen. Made 28 appearances in his time there

Gone back to Shrewsbury
Pierre has? But we're on about Stewart?
He's over 30 isn't he? So if we signed him and he left again there's not much chance we'd re-sign him a 4th time anyway is there?!
Feels like it's best to stay away now. He's had miserable seasons since and we need to look elsewhere now.
Thankfully we have 3 very good CBs with Low, Taffs and the new chap. One more even half-decent signing there and we are pretty well set.
Could be break through season for Skura. He’s got plenty of National league appearances under his belt
I might ask you how feel about this take come September. I have a feeling you might want to re-assess it.

I‘m not sure we’ll ever get 50 games a season out of Taff. And I reckon the chances of Low being here at the end of August are 50/50
Under our new management I anticipate any departure will be replaced by a trade up in quality.
That’s already not the case.

I’m not sure there are any Wycombe fans who think Ryan Tafazolli is “crap”. There are plenty of adjectives in the middle of the spectrum.
So mediocre, then?
Brain freeze
If pushed for one, I’d say inconsistent, for both Joe Low and Ryan Tafazolli.

I would venture some ‘blokes’ feel Taff has an air of arrogance about him not match by his actual performance?

People think Taff is ‘flash,’ because he lives in Beaconsfield and drives a nice car. It’s Craig Falconbridge and his big house all over again.
