The Aberdeen move really has been a confidence killer for Tools. He was at fault for Gills’ first goal, he pushed up for the second when he should have provided cover and his body language was just so off. He’s clearly not enjoying his football.
I wonder if he will ever play at a higher level now or if L2 will be his level.
It’s been widely reported that Ibe has had quite severe mental health issues. If his health has improved and this move allows him to rebuild his fitness and reputation before a move back into the league, this could be the start of wonderful news. Would be truly lovely if he earns a move back to AP in due course.
Had to check I'd not got an old page of the thread up!
Strange one, 3 decent years there, player of the year once season. Then a sort of no man's land season at league 2 level barely getting a game now back to Shrewsbury.
I thought he was brilliant for us and harshly sullied by the strawberry jam headbutt incident.
I know plenty would disagree, but I always preferred him to Stewart. Faster and stronger in the air. An absolute monster of a defender. Him and Mawson as a combo in league 2 was a real cheat code.
I liked AP during his time at AP and would not be averse to a return though not sure how much game time he would get if Low and Forino are fit and not at QPR.
Pierre was an amazing coup of a signing when we got him. Always did well for us and was a fantastic athlete and intelligent defender. I was surprised that his career plateaued when he left us as I honestly felt he could have played a step up.
As for Mike Williamson he is going to be a really good coach. Its a shame his first EFL break is going to be with franchise.
Stewart's distribution in his last season was lacking to say the least. I'm not sure whether it was coached out of him of whether he just slipped but his whole repertoire was to get the ball slightly out to the right and to hit it long and diagonal. Predictable and ineffective.
A Des Walker type, quick and strong, people thought they had beaten him to the ball and learned better, Offensively (Tesco's excluded) Pierre made occasional random runs forward whereas Stewart would try long raked passes that sometimes came off. The Ketchup incident was regrettable.
My QPR supporting train ticket seller (he rates Gareth and believes that sadly he is paying the price for a long period of poor decisions from the club) told me he had a chat with GA at the Blackburn game...asked him why he did not make any changes at half-time (sound familiar) and warned him it was going to get toxic but was asked to 'Stick with me. I know what I am doing...'
On the positive front he thinks there is a togetherness that has not been seen for a long time and he thinks the criticism of hoofball from some QPR fans are well off as they are creating plenty of chances and playing decent football...but using players who just aren't good enough. ('Smyth just cannot cross a ball...') He says it's getting close to crunch time but doubts they can afford to get shot of the management team and he says Beale would not be welcomed back as 'This is all his fault...'
'Hopefully we'll be playing you next year...one way or another' was his parting cry as my train pulled in.

Uche signs for Port Vale
Seems his contract issues were resolved then. Good for him
Josh Parker scores a penalty for the feisty Oxford City, who are making a go of staying up so far.
Jordan Willis signs for Northampton on a short term deal

If he can play regularly at any level and get himself healthy and fit then that in itself is a big improvement on recent years, wish him well
Aaron Pierre signs for Shrewsbury

But just until January.
Looking at the response to the club tweet I don’t think they are that thrilled. Some clubs just love signing former players. Crazy.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play since leaving us (did he even feature against us?).
But I still have very positive memories of his performances for us, and wish the guy well.
Come on Georgian squillionaire, before you bankrupt us, put up a Pierre statue in Tesco’s car park, yeah?
Mike Williamson set to be named MK manager
Wish him all the luck Anthony Stewart and Sully Kaikai had last season
I think Mike was first player of 'my era'of attending AP to end up in the Premier League. (Though I am no statto)

Not sure Pierre is well equipped to Bloomfield‘s approach. I loved him back then though.

He was a pure defender, blessed physically. Perhaps marked down as a "stopper" as the importance of distribution came to the fore.
Some of our fans definitely measured Stewart ahead of him for distribution, when I'm not sure there were huge levels in it.
One of my favourites, but time has definitley moved on now and he'd do well to even get in, even with 3 berths available in this formation.

AAH2.0 scores for Iraq.

I think that's everything.
Surely he only wants to be playing us in one way - us going up!
