They also have a manager with a win record around the 20% mark - there’s not much going right for them, perhaps bar a few individual performances. They signed some great players in pre-season but they just haven’t clicked.
Sido was a pure delight to watch play and - with some pretty stiff competition - in my top 3 favourite players of the past 10-15 years.
I happily remember the frustrated exasperation of Paul Hayes to finding Sido was somewhere up with him or ahead of him when he was supposed to be back defending.
If he is scoring goals playing football I am pretty sure he is happy and a happy Sido fills my soul* with joy.

I am sure their fans will continue to run interference for Pearson, telling anyone who will listen how Mehmeti can't make the jump required to play in a Championship team that scored a grand total of (checks notes) zero goals at home this evening.
As much as I love Mehmeti, Bristol City were up against a side that has only dropped four points all season. 12th is a fairly decent start to the season for them, so the manager can’t get too much stick for his team selection. Bell’s been brilliant supposedly.
Listening to Nigel Pearson’s pre-match interview was interesting. Reading between the lines, suggests to me that he doesn’t feel that Anis is enough of a team player. ‘If he does what he needs to do for the team, I’ll be happy. That’s the most important thing’. Also said he hasn’t taken his chances that he has been given so far.
Apparently, Anis played in the number 10 today - I believe they normally play him out on the flanks.
I hope this is part of some elaborate plan to turn him into a robust no 10 but in reality he's a free spirited left sides attacker who will run into space and probe the defence, as part of that he'll run into dead ends and give the ball away several times a game but if you stick with him he'll get 15 goals a season and embarrass the opposition. He might need to choose when to do so a bit more carefully but If you stifle him and ask him to pick the simple pass on most occasions and not try anything skillful for fear of giving the ball away I think you've just not been paying attention and probably signed the wrong player.

From the nonleague paper today:
Sido scored both goals for Salisbury in their 2-1 win at Didcot yesterday ,including one from the spot!
good on him !
Sido was such a nice bloke.
I think he’s their top scorer this season with 6.
I wonder if he’s playing the number ten role there like he always wanted. I’d love to see him in that position.

This is devastating news.
Michael Harriman appointed manager of AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Mehmeti getting splinters again as Bristol City are getting beaten by Ipswich.

Lewis Wing scores for Reading who lead Portsmouth 1-0.
Gaz’s QPR lost at home again! Getting very worried for him now.😬
Today had to be a bit of a freebie though, against a top of the league team who've pretty much won every game.
Leicester have 39 points from 14 games. To only lose 2-1 with 10 men is a very good effort. Gareth certainly hasn't lost the dressing room.
Well that didn’t last!😬
90 minutes and apparently a very good performance for Nick Freeman today.
Dom Gape on the bench for Sutton United today

Lewis Wing scores against the fake dons,Reading are 3-1 up.
Gape comes on for Sutton near the end of the game. I believe that is his debut. 2-1 up on Fylde.
Pleased for Gape to get on
Dave Stockdale in goal for York in the FA Cup today
Charlie Horlock saved a penalty and scored for Hitchin today.
Not a current news update but just something I noticed that was interesting. Bradford City’s player of the year in 2011-12 was Luke Oliver.
Scott Davies gives Slough the lead with a 25 yard free kick.
Chem Campbell starts for Charlton.
The videos.
