I heard a vicious rumour that if any teams want to loan a Man City player, they need to present a PowerPoint presentation on how why they want that player, how they will play them and how it fits in with Pep’s/City’s playing philosophy to ensure they are getting the experience city need them to get.
@Wendoverman yeh I've seen from Bolton fans that they were using him as a wingback. Supposedly by no means his strongest position (this being a right or left winger, positions our current system don't accommodate) which is maybe a partial reason for him looking for pastures new.
It'd be surprising if he chose a new club who also intended to play him in his lesser-preferred position. At the same time, Leahy signed with us likely under the pretence of being a stalwart in centre midfield, only to have found himself playing both LWB and LCB on more than one occasion already this season, so who knows!
Nonetheless, Sadlier's versatility should hopefully prove a significant asset for us if he can slot in at wingback on either side. Looks to be a right-footed dead-ball specialist as well which fills the void that Wing left which is another big plus I was not aware of initally.
I think one of the biggest issues with our lack of creativity is our midfield trio. Scowen, Potts and Leahy all seem more suited to playing in the more defensive role at the minute.
I'm not sure any of the three are strong enough going forwards to play in an attacking central midfield role from what I've seen so far.
If we insist on 3 at the back, then I think we need to go 3-4-3. With Scowen and Leahy in the middle.
Wheeler on the right and Boyes on the left. Sadlier, Hanlan and Vokes up top (given McCleary and Taylor) are injured.
Vermin? This place is like a box of puppies, the Facebook page is standard COYB if we win and (manager's name) OUT if we lose and a recent photo posted on here of our 'ultras' looked like a bunch of lads celebrating their A-Level results. Unless there's a forum on the dark web that no one has told me about 'vermin' is doing a lot of work here.
I know we’re very interested in an alternative striker, but I’ve been asked to keep it a secret. They’re not match fit at the moment. Their agent is pushing very hard for him to sign for us and MB is very much interested. Decision now with the player.

They've all got two weeks training anyway and it's not obvious where he'll play or if he's an automatic starter, sure he'll be managed in fine.

Wonder what was in our presentation….
I had heard Blooms had been doing these, makes sense as you're still bidding to take these prospects for a year even if you aren't paying.

Seemed to me that he would cover GMac who can’t be expected to play 90+mins week in week out?

As in an alternative to what we have, or an alternative to Uche?
It’s not Uche. It’s a player that could share minutes with Vokes.
Please not Andre Gray
Wasn’t going to give anything else away but I’ll at least rule out that twat. It’s not him
