I admire Rob Couhig for his stewardship of our club but if he goes on Zoom and calls us parasites, asks @bargepole about suiing Deadpool, claims we have the best chips in the league and the water in the loos is too hot....
I saw a non Wycombe (think it was actually a notts county) Twitter account claim it. Seemed to me that they had somehow heard/got hold of the WTV interview of Rob complaining about some things happening and put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5.
Ironic as that’s the sort of shit Rob was complaining about and it wasn’t even a Wycombe account.
I can confirm that I haven't received any enquiry from Rob Couhig, or anyone else at WWFC, regarding advice about suing Wrexham FC. That kind of action, if it had any legal basis which I doubt, would probably run well into 6 figures in damages, well above the limit for Small Claims cases which I deal with. And I'm sure the club can afford more expensive and higher qualified legal bods than me,
PS - I was in court at Central London this morning, representing my client who was suing a builder for a badly botched bathroom refurbishment. The Judge awarded her £4,800, the cost of redoing most of the work, and finishing the job. If any Gasroomers have that kind of issue, please fill in the enquiry form at www.smallclaimsadvisor.co.uk, quoting WWFC20 to get 20% off my fees,
To be honest, this business with Hanlan should be finished. I honestly don't think any of the Wycombe Squad would down tools and refuse to play and if they did, there is enough squad togetherness that the issue would be sorted out quickly. We have had rumours / situations where player & manager have fallen out with each other in the past (as well as a visit to a bar in Beaconsfield) but for a long time, we haven't had any bad eggs in the squad.
As for last Tuesday, there could have been a number of reason why Hanlan missed the game. He could have been in Wrexham having a medical & sorting out personal terms? He could have been in Wrexham or the local area to Wrexham, looking at property that he would live in? He could have been at home, talking to his wife or partner trying to sell the move to them OR arranging things for his move? He could have performed badly in training as he was distracted with all the noise around him? Matt could have been told by Rob that Hanlan was unavailable as to ensure he didn't get injured. Does Hanlan really seem like the type of player to refuse to do anything?
As with ALL transfers, none of us know the reason why he wasn't selected last week, all reasons or excuses could have happened but the only people that will know are Brandon, Matt & the rest of the squad. Can we just put this to bed, accept he wasn't selected, had a lot of noise around him but for the time being, he is still a Wycombe player!?
Have to say I’m pleased with this, can’t remember if it was when he was at Rotherham or Doncaster but remember really hoping we signed him then but thinking he was too good. Hope he lives up to my expectations.
Suitably uninspiring signing that, especially given you’d have bet your house on it being Uche.
On paper though he’s got a lot of attributes we’re lacking at the moment. Very creative, can take a man on, can whip a good cross in (according to Bolton fans anyway). Could be an astute signing although I’d imagine Blooms has picked him up as a useful squad player rather than a starter.
Good player by all accounts. So who’s missing out ? Taylor’s injury worse? Tjay out on loan? Patience wearing thin with Vokes? Uche deal not happening?
How many is the squad now? We’ve got to announce the cut soon haven’t we?
Don't think we need to cut anyone loose yet. We've only got a relatively small number of injuries at the moment (Taylor, JJ, Grimmer, Taf) and already are nearly down to the bare bones on the bench. The only players not in the squad on Saturday were the inexperienced youngsters from the Development squad.
Having watched Rob's interview it's clear that, in his view, the club never gave permission for anyone to speak to any of our players.
Maybe the clubs were in discussions about transfer fee, but at some point "they broke the rules and when they broke the rules we were done with them".
Rob seems a little angry with the speculation and social media chit chat that a deal was done, in the basis that it affects the players involved, their families, the players work colleges and everyone else within the club.
In fairness I can't find anything to disagree with his assessment. Unless you're the sort who wants to find fault with what he says I don't see a problem with his interview.
It’s on occasions like these that you’re reminded of @oilysailor’s oft-quoted saying that “Wycombe fans are vermin.”
We announce a perfectly good signing, an experienced, versatile, left-footed professional, and he’s greeted with a bunch of pathetic adolescents, and in some cases actual adults, complaining he isn’t Uche Ikpeazu. Not exactly a warm welcome is it?
I’m glad Matt Bloomfield isn’t on social media because he might be wondering why he fucking bothers.

Wycombe aren’t reporting anyone, the ‘Wycombe Zone’ on Twitter made it up and it’s spread as if it’s from a factual source, it isn’t.
There’s a surprise.

Rob's been discussing options with @bargepole?
At least he's not talking to Ainsworthsillyshoes....
@glasshalfempty was it really? Then I take it back.
Nearly as good as ‘I’ve been to Wembley three times, twice with Martin and once with Lawrie.’

Didn't Andy Kerr refuse to play once because MO'N refused to let him go on trial to Wimbledon? It lasted one game and Andy soon changed his mind.
A new signing is about to be announced.....
Uche or our money back
From the arm...it's not Uche😬
It can’t be. Can it?
Dave Tarpey at last?

Thought it was Ainsworth for one mad minute!!

Seems like a really good signing. Well done to all involved.

Wow. There’s loads of ex-Wycombe players we can get in yet.
