Very difficult to advance past the half way line successfully with short passes when one centre half is 38 and a wooden spoon, one centre half can’t pass it short and has no left foot and then both your wing backs can’t successfully pass forward either.
We were excellent with long ball on Saturday. We’ve U-turned today.
Some fun facts for other ties: Two previous League Cup finals are being replayed today. Bolton vs Middlebrough (2004) and Tranmere vs Leicester (2000).
In the Tranmere vs Leicester game, there is one player on the pitch who actually played in that final 23 years ago: Tranmere keeper Joe Murphy.
This is a Wycombe match in reverse. We're looking to build from the back, too slow, lots of intricate passages of play that inevitably breaks down as soon as we get to the final third.
Sutton by comparison are direct, fast and aggressive and very effective. If I was Joey Barton I'd claim we were much the better side and Sutton are just lumping it. Thankfully I'm not and since the goal, they've looked more likely to score again. We've got a lot of work to do to get back into this.
Something that I admire about Blooms is he’s not afraid to make changes early on. I fully expect a half time sub or two, or a few subs within the first 10 mins of the second half if not.
Left winger? Yes. Skipped past Forino at one point but touch let him down.
We're playing ok with the ball and probably should have scored. But, against a poor side, haven't really got many crosses in or been able to thread many balls behind them.
Not enough pace upfront. Too few players willing to carry the ball. And everything we do is about 10 yards too deep, which in my view has been a recurring theme for months.
Potts is tidy on the ball but has zero presence in the tackle. One of several that need to spend the break for the Cambridge game down the gym.
Fire alarm has just gone off. Let's get this abandoned!
One step forward … still seem to have much to learn about each other and if Hanlon is going the opportunity to get a goal scoring striker in mustn’t be missed

Shades of Tranmere in the cup in 19/20.
If there are any spare fireworks hanging around the ground hopefully Bloomfield will light them under the players arses at half time.

Maybe we accidentally let the sprinklers off instead of keeping the pitch dry?
Woeful so far.
Can only get better!
I thought you’d seen us play before?
Leahy for Potts.
Boyes
Typical Blooms - can only win on a Saturday.
He’s a Slough boy.
Here’s his Dad running the third leg in our Commonwealth gold medal team in 1994.

For goodness sake come on.
Come on blues
Sounds like the second half has been better but there's just not an end product.
Wycombe 62% possession; Sutton 39%
interesting.
Only listening but TJ and Wheeler seem lively?
Now corrected
That’s what I’m reduced to. Frustrating.
Referee truly diabolical today
The Trevmobile is getting warmed up
He was an extremely late replacement for the originally appointed who sustained an injury on Saturday (I assume).
Oh dear
Lack of end product is going to be a real problem this season.
Praying we get Uche back, someone who knows how to score a goal.

Really rubbish performance
Don't worry, we'll stuff 'em in the second leg, just like last time.
