If England win the semi and so progress to the final without Lauren James for 30 tough minutes of the round of 16, and having missed the quarter and semi finals, would bringing her back into the starting line-up be a good or bad call?
Personally, I’d say leave her on the bench and only bring her on if chasing the game. It’d be unfair on the rest of the team for her to be re-instated ahead of those who got to the final.
Spain prevail over Sweden 2-1, not a great game only came to life in the last 20 minutes, feel for the Swedes (always the bridesmaids...) but they were to an extent the architects of their own demise.
Fascinating to watch the contrasting styles, England playing a slow methodical probing game to move the Aussies around & find the spaces, the Aussies happy to let England have the ball & looking to hit England on the break.

Echoes of Oxford's goal in the play off final in that Colombia goal.
Fluke and a half
Definitely a badly hit cross...
What's the keeper doing 😂
What a shambles in the Colombia box (a bit like Exeter's second); good persistence from Hemp to stick that away & get England back on level terms
Looks like her defender might have kicked it out of her hand actually
Great goal from Russo to take the lead & well ground out by England against a very good Colombia team, England now have a semi against Australia...
Why don't er call it the top of her "sacroiliac crest", which it looks like to me? 🤷♂️
Great winner from WOTM Maidstonian Alessia Mia Teresa Russo.
Reminiscent of Dale Taylor’s goal against us for Burton Albion earlier this year.
So much brilliant individual talent in that extremely young Columbia side. Ramirez…….well, what can you say.
But we grind on. Interestingly, against the only country to have beaten England during Sarina Wiegman’s reign.

Looking forward to a tasty semi. The Aussie crowd were all behind Colombia so can expect a hot atmosphere in Sydney.
Sounds like your Tinder profile
🤣
That Aus v France game was fantastic entertainment.

Onto tomorrows game...
Australia with little possession but looking like they could score on the break.
Decent game so far.

Bingo, gap found
outside of the right foot and right in the top corner
Indeed
Cracking strike from Ella Toone
Hell of a hit
A few sloppy moments from the Lionesses but playing the beautiful game and generally looking in calm control. A treat to watch.
The Aussies aren't playing nearly as well as they did against France. Let's hope that continues.
Holy shit.
Great individual goal from Sam Kerr to get Aussie back into this but why did Millie Bright not close her down more
And that was a HELL of a hit
Excuse my French but that was completely against the run of play.
Great player tbh, apparently equally as good at cricket
Lucky bounce with Aussie player missing it but she took it well.
Keep playing as you are and you’ll make the Final.
Wow
Lauren Hemp deserved that and took it really well, she has just been so much of a pain in the arse to their defence
It's coming home!
