Have to say I think Beale going from QP Rangers to Rangers is a strange one. They have lost 4 out of the last 5 games so maybe he was worried about that form continuing and losing his job?
Not sure they would go for Ainsworth now , with the relatively poor quality he is delivering from “ the best squad I’ve had in my time at the club”. QPR is a club who try to play attractive football. Not sure that’s in Ainsworth’s capabilities. He seems to thrive on the underdog tag with a combative style of football.
It seems grossly unfair given his achievements but I do wonder whether a championship club will ever offer Gareth a job. It feels a little bit like Tidsdale at Exeter, did a great job for many years, never quite got the right offer and he stayed at Exeter, arguably for too long. Eventually it went bad for him there and he didnt do great at other similar levels of job. Hope it doesn't go the same way for Gareth and Wycombe.
The nuclear bombs may fall and the earth may become a barren wasteland, yet I would still expect two of the last surviving zombies to speculate on whether Gaz is going to QPR.
Unfortunately this current Wycombe side has become like 'Raiders of the Lost Ark': An incredible opening sequence full of promise, but by the end you are screaming "Don't look!" at your loved ones as eyes melt in sockets...
Well it's a mixture isn't it? I enjoyed Forest Green, I did not enjoy Cheltenham
I enjoyed Peterborough and Oxford, I didn't enjoy Port Vale. I enjoyed the first half against Cambridge, I didn't enjoy the second half. Fans expecting to see 1982 Brazil every week and settling for no less are always going to be disappointed.
Shame to see you being so negative, you're usually one of the more rational posters.
I reckon we'll beat Pompey as it goes, and the mood on here will be one of optimism once more.
Fair points Eric. Personally I don't expect to see Brazil 1982 every week, but I have been so accustomed (some would say spoiled) to second half fight and never say die spirit that the succession of meek surrenders has been draining. I make nowhere near the sacrifice of you all actually physically going to the games, so it may seem irrelevant to point out here, but spending a Saturday morning watching hoofs to nowhere instead of, say, taking my kids out to a playground in the sunshine leaves me feeling grumpy at times...but then, I am addicted to this club (and I do get my kids out later, for those of you about to take away my Dad of the Year mug).

I think the QPR job was always attractive to Gaz but was Gaz ever attractive to the club?
He’d surely go if he was offered it.

Ainsworth's stock is a bit lower than several other times he's been passed up for this job.
Can't see them taking the risk.
They are looking for someone to come in and win promotion to the PL, not bravely battle relegation.
It's never not been.
It's them offering it, and then going through with it!
I don't think anyone's going to come in for Ainsworth at the moment, somehow...
QPR will appoint Neil Critchley
Badged to bits as they say!

Ever "again" offer him a job you mean.
He interviewed for it before and didn't get it/take it.
I think there are more attractive options for what QPR need right now. Sean Dyche?

Or to put it another way, they're five points off the play-offs with 17 games to go.
Maths not your strong point, Eric?
Are the players training today ? As Mr Ainsworth is not at Marlow Rd, as he is in the next carriage on a train bound for Londinium ??
QPR interview ? Gig rehearsal ?
27!!! Deary me, that's embarrassing
Even better though
Train??? I'm sure Ainsworth would go to an interview at QPR on a Harley Davidson, riding into the boardroom.
True. I apologize to anyone who does find our games wonderfully entertaining currently.
Don’t all shout at once.

Which way did he head when leaving the station? West to Shepherds Bush on the Hammersmith & City line?
Imagine if QPR offered the manager’s post to Dave Tarpey?
Interplanetary chaos.

Reared it's ugly head again. Can't see him sticking around this time. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
Currently 5/2 second favourite
I'll buy a hat just to eat it if he goes.
Seems odd that they haven't acquired their "first choice" yet. The longer it drags on, it worries me...
Someone has reported Neil Critchley as being set to be hired. I have no idea of the credibility of the journalist in question, though.
