I hope they get utterly destroyed at the next election, but unfortunately that won't be until January 2025. Its a shame they can't all follow Hancock into the jungle!
How do you have a modern World Cup in a new country where the infrastructure has to be purpose built and most of the punters come from a long way away and you have to air condition the stadiums due to extreme heat and yet make it carbon neutral and sustainable?
A) Follow all best practice guidelines, clever systems and new technology
B) Throw lots of money at it, you are after all very rich
I know I won't have the willpower or real desire to not watch the matches on TV but by heck they are a bunch of lying, cheating scumbags and the whole thing is a farce.
The original post was headlined “Not football” but was purely about the Conservative party
Adding anything under this title about “Not Football” but not mentioning the Conservatives or Politics would be seen as not being true to the original post.
Never in doubt after Afridi became injured. I wonder if the ECB will actually listen to Ben Stokes now and they might be able to get him to change his mind over retiring from 50 over cricket? Come the new year, I think I'll be referring to him as "Sir Ben Stokes"
Not sure where to put this, so thought In here would do. I know a lot of you don't do Facebook, but the club are doing a great job of making the fans feel alienated and detached again !
Advertising stuff from the shops online, the prices are eye watering... so as expected a few comments saying such. So now they have turned off all the comments so people can't have an opinion. Way to go club, why listen to the fans ! Can't see them selling much
Scotland have lost their bid to force through another independence referendum. I'm guessing this leaves very little room for the SNP for them to progress this issue. Will they fall away and disappear like UKIP did?
On a personal note, I'm happy that this ruling has happened. I think that the Scottish people had a chance to change in 2014 and the people voted to stay. That was 8yrs ago and sets a bad president for them to continue asking for this. The Government haven't listened to anyone asking for another EU/Non EU Vote.
What is stopping them from carrying out a referendum now, albeit the result wuldn't be recognised by our Government? It would at least demonstrate the current level of desire for independence.
It should be born in mind that according to the WWF, Sturgeons are the most endangered species group on earth. Any action against the First Minister needs to recognise this!
They don't need to, before the next election they will have to have either go fully in on "independence now" or waiver a bit for general no voters, if they do the former and still get a huge majority they'll claim it's indirect support and it starts again. Perhaps where they could get some movement is if they are needed for a coalition or if Labour win but only by a small margin and need help to get anything through.

I’d rather eat a kangaroo anus than be a Tory MP to be fair.
Great game of cricket this morning at The Gabba. Chris Jordan coming on for some superb boundary catches.
Saturday is huge if we can beat the Sri Lankans and hope the Aussies don’t get too big a run rate win against the Afghanistan-is.
Could the Irish pull off a win against the Kiwis?
The game starts at 8am on Saturday, the Aussies and Kiwis play Friday so we will know what’s needed.
A tremendous book. I do wonder how she copes at Christmas with her extended family of racist crackpots?
Given that I have never tasted this particular rear end delicacy, what's it like? 🤔😂
Ask Katie Price!
For those of us who like cricket, there are 2 programmes that are coming up which shoild be a good watch.
1) The Test - 2nd Series following the Australian team from the last Ashes series in the UK to the one in Aus last year. This will be on Prime
2) The Greatest Game - Following the England One-Day squad on their journey to winning the World Cup in 2019. This will be shown on Sky
I'm not sure @Otter87 has quite got the idea of this thread.

@drcongo Please can you explain as I don't understand what I'm missing

I’m only kidding, post whatever you like in here @Otter87
Congratulations England Cricket team ! World champions ! Bit nervy, but you can tell they have a great team spirit amongst them.

The huge spend at a time of austerity when the vote would be meaningless would surely sway many voters against it.
I think her time is up and like Salmond when he lost in 2014 should resign.
The Scottish voter is more represented than anyone else in the UK
Talking of bad presidents,……Och, sorry.
It's been ruled unlawful without Westminster's consent
Which is incredibly unlikely to be forthcoming

I think wrestlers should keep their noses out of it.
That's actually good general advice for a wrestler.

I feel like raising any Scottish topic as Costa Rica kick off a world cup is a little unfair
Costa Rica is a wonderful country. Pity they got hammered by Spain, but an unbelievable place!
Latest poll of voting intentions in High Wycombe shows aswing of over 16% to Labour & puts them on almost 54% of the overall vote
Fuck it really is the hope that gets you...
Enjoy the test match @micra?
