Very well worth trip to Adams Park. It was a very entertaining game and a deserved WW win. I hope more people will come along to either Adams Park or Burnham FC for future games.
My POTM is Chante Inniss who was a constant threat on the left, an ever available outlet who can be relied on to keep possession in tight situations.
It was a shame captain Katie Hudson was not in the squad today, she was there watching but her experience and calmness was just what was needed in that rather too nervy end to the match.
I was somewhat surprised to have my bag searched by a steward as I went in.
But credit to the young players, playing in a big stadium in front of a size of crowd they are completely unused to, they came through with flying colours. I was also impressed with the fitness of both teams, right to the end.
In the FA Cup 3QR draw, the Chairgirls have been drawn at home to Aylesford LFC, who play in the London & South East Regional Premier, same step 5 level as Wycombe.
Yesterday Aylesford beat Welling United 3-1 at home in the 2QR.
I think this is the first weekend this season when all three teams are in action.
First up on Saturday the U18s take on Nottingham Forest in the league at home. Nottingham Forest! It brings home what a step up it is, and what a commitment it is for amateur youth players to be making a 240 mile round trip, getting up at a ridiculous hour, especially on those cold, dark winter mornings. Kick off 11:00 at The 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG. Note that WWFCW Facebook have the KO as 11am, the JPL have 10:30.
On Sunday the Firsts host Bournemouth Sports, who have two wins out of two, and won 12-0 in the FA Cup at Pagham last weekend. Kick off 2pm at Burnham.
Top of the table Reserves travel to East Oxford, who have a W2 D1 L1 record. Last out they drew 3-3 with Eastington Sports, who the Chairgirls beat 2-0 last month. A 2pm kick-off on Sunday at, I think, Oxford RFC, North Hinksey OX2 0NA - exact location not publicised by either club but that seems to be the usual venue.
You didn't imagine it. I know of two games played at Adams Park. Stocklake Ladies in a top of the table league clash in April 2002 (a 2-1 loss) and Tetbury Towns Ladies in 2007 which was a resounding 8-0 win.
Wonderful to see the support for the Women's side but would also be nice to remember some of the history of the club which stretches back well over 40 years.
Well spotted @BlueSky, thanks for finding, and @floyd for remembering correctly. I can't recall any of these games at Adams Park. So Heather Scutchings is the earliest competitive scorer at AP, from what we know so far.
There was an interesting game a few weeks earlier at AP when Fulham Ladies beat Birmingham City 7-1 in the final of the AXA Women's Premier League Cup Final. The crowd of 1512 included Mohamed Al Fayed.
On Saturday the U18s travel down to Worthing Town in the JPL. Worthing have lost their opening two games, 4-2 at home to Millwall Lionesses and 5-0 away to Ascot United. An 11am kick-off at Palatine Park Football Centre, Palatine Rd, Worthing BN12 6JN.
Incidentally, the U18s were due to play Sandhurst Town away on Saturday, in the Berks & Bucks quarter-final, but Sandhurst have been awarded a walkover win. I do hope the club, holders of the cup, have not voluntarily scratched. That would be very disappointing, as it would be if the JPL have pulled rank and forced the Chairgirls to concede.
On Sunday the Firsts are away to Reading in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup quarter-final. The Chairgirls had a bye in the last round, Reading won 1-0 at Milton United and I presume they play their Development team, as the First Team are in the WSL. The match takes place at John Madejski Academy, 125 Hartland Rd, Reading RG2 8AF, with a later kick-off at 3pm. The public are welcome to attend.
Also on Sunday the Reserves are aiming for five wins out of five as they host Oxford City U23s in the league. City have drawn one and lost four so far, and last weekend lost 6-0 at home to Goring united. Kick-off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.
Match reports from the three weekend games. The Reserves' report gives the score as 4-1, but the league website has it as 5-1 - Hudson, Carter (2), Hill and Norfolk.
This weekend starts with the U18s hosting Fulham in the JPL, a team who have lost their opening two games, 1-0 to XL and 2-0 to leaders Millwall Lionesses. Kick-off 10:30 on Saturday at the 1878 Stadium.
On Sunday the Reserves are away to Denham United in the league, looking to make it six out of six wins. United have four points from five games. Kick-off 2pm at The Den, Oxford Road, Denham UB9 4DW.
The Firsts have possibly the most important game in their history on Sunday, when they take on Aylesford in the FA Cup 3QR. A win would see the Chairgirls into the First Round for the first time, with the winners taking home £4000 in prize money, the losers £1000. Aylesford, a step 5 side like the Chairgirls, have struggled in the league this season, losing all six games so far, the last two being 7-0 at Dulwich Hamlet, and 8-0 at Fulham last Sunday. Their only victory was the 3-1 win against Welling United in the last round of the FA Cup.
The FA Cup game kicks off at 2pm on Sunday, at the 1878 Stadium, Wymers Wood Road, SL1 8JG. £3 to get in, cash or card on the gate, 16 and under free, full bar facilities. There should be a good crowd for this, a game I have to miss, regretfully, as I am out of the country. If any Gasroomer is going, any updates would be appreciated.
The U18s start off this weekend with the long trip to Notts County in the JPL. County have won one and lost two so far. Kick off 1pm at Basford FC, Greenwich Avenue, Basford, NG6 0LD.
On Sunday, the Firsts travel to Abingdon Town in the league. Town have the same league record as the Chairgirls, one win and two defeats, and had a good 6-2 FA Cup win against Badshot Lea last Sunday. Kick off 2pm at Marcham Centre, Abingdon OX13 6TY.
Also on Sunday, the Reserves host Milton Keynes City in the League Cup. City have 10 points from four games in Division 3N, and are free scoring with 23 goals, including an 11-3 win at Aylesbury United last weekend. Last season the Reserves won one and lost one against MK. Kick off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.

Are there highlights up anywhere @Steve_Peart?
Not yet @YorkshireBlue, I hope they do appear.
There is a very brief report, which says they will be playing at Burnham on the next round. I would be surprised if that has been decided yet.
