I’m tempted to start another thread here but am I the only one to see the significance of Derby agreeing to pay us compensation then doing so on a percentage of their sale value.
As far as I can see they haven’t a clue about this on their forums and judging by their previous comments some on there are going to have a complete meltdown when they realise not only did we have a good case but they paid rather than fight it.
I’ve actually taken that route out before now on a really busy dry early season day about 10 years ago following a 4x4 who seemed to know what he was doing. : go out of the gate top left of the upper car park into the field on the left, follow the hedge row up and then across the tree line to the left, about 50 yds along there is a gate up into the wood, the track weaves through the wood then joins a man made road with houses in the woods on it and that then becomes metalled. After half a mile it reaches the Stockenchurch road
Aloyius will be along soon to point out it's all a ruse, for when the planning permission/cost is inevitably turned down, and we start to move to the real plan - a new stadium. Probably.
Fraggles are strange creatures that hover on the righteous side of the Bucks/Oxon border, where they reside has a micro climate of its own, due to its high location. nearby beauty spots are a shoe tree, and Chicken shit canyon. Whilst the inhabitants of this village are somewhat peculiar, they are considered relatively sane in comparisons to nearby Levi's and the 'Sinners from Chinnor'.
Or the gap between West Wycombe and Piddington disappearing. We don't know where this road will be built nor the different rules and/or restrictions on it
Probably opens up that original park n ride option at West Wycombe if the new route is up one of the hills on that road.
Although the problem with that location was a lot of people had to go out of their way to get there. Whereas the original park n ride opposite the cinema at Cressex worked better.
Not for those teams coming from the North. Exit at Junction 5 on the M40 then they won't add to the traffic at Handy Cross or town centre. They might even create a space for away coaches and get all supporters coaches parked there?
Looks like the Derby fans are getting all heated about Rob’s statement about having been paid some money. They are calling him all sorts including an ambulance chaser.
At the moment, the away coaches park behind the factory / warehouses to the right hand side just before entering the ground (if you are stood in the middle of the road, looking at the front gates of AP). If that route is made for away fans, it'll be easier for the club/stewards/police to manage them and if there is any "trouble", those involved will be very isolated as all they will have is fields, their car will be the last in the car park and (hopefully) they shouldn't be able to cause any other issues.

These Buckinghamshire tensions are fascinating to read from afar. Books could be written.
Did Rob mention anything about the Chairboylift?

Anyone know what route the access road would take?
Is there anyone you don't have some weird long term grudge against 😁

Something like this, I believe
Wycombe’s own Alpe d'Huez
There's already a lot of that route with connecting roads already, albeit some are quite narrow.
Is it just a case of a new road from our ground across the field behind the terrace, or are we talking improving all the other roads too?
I would guess both
... and then there are The Fraggles of course!
Maybe a later phase but would surely be some pressure from residents to increase on site parking before we are able to increase capacity.
I have a daily injection of Fragmin (instead of Warfarin) but I don’t think that qualifies me as a Fraggle. What exactly is a Fraggle, please ?
I often feel a bit fragile.

Solid tune
Solid link. Can’t get past it. Think it has to be blue.

Maybe you should start writing books with an imagination like that @ChasHarps .

Yeah, There was just something a bit wrong about driving right up to the ground from the motorway and then miles away to park and be driven back.

If you could make it the recommended parking area for all away fans that would work better, as the coaches aren't really that big a problem.
The shuttle buses would have to be pretty spot on efficiency though, but maybe they can use this new road!
The school parking was the sort of good thinking they need a few more similar ideas.
I think he is just winding their fans up and we haven't actually had a bean!

It's probably not going to happen that one route is away fans only though, unless we significantly up the allocation they get.
If the plan was to have all the away fans have to be bussed in in a park n ride, you wouldn't want to be that driver if their team didn't play well!
I suspect the plan is more likely to be one route for entry to the ground & the other route for exit, whihc I seem to recall Rob mentioning
So maybe the new road used only as an exit.
But surely the current road would continue to serve as an exit too, otherwise you'd be no better off than now?
