This is coming from a club that is seriously thinking about having Sol Campbell on their manager list as well...... It seems as tho the serious / proven managers aren't being taken seriously OR know what QPR is like and wanting to stay away!
It's surely just click baiting by West London Sport.
If Gareths' track record is anything to go by, his word is his bond. He has said he isn't interested in moving elsewhere yet, so I for one have no reason to disbelieve him. I honestly think that he could be on the verge of taking WWFC further up the league and as such have every confidence that he will stay and try to execute that plan.
Here I go again. Surely that should be odds against if you’re describing a situation in which the bookies have decided that, for whatever obscure reason, GA is now more likely to go to Blackburn? If that’s the case, I think they are completely misjudging the situation.
My nerves over GA leaving are literally zero. I feel like something changed a couple of years back to where he is fully invested on the project and perfectly happy.
High up the betting for the Blackpool job as well this morning. Not worried about that one at all thankfully, just the Blackburn job to get out of the way now.
I could be wrong but I suspect that although the Couhigs would not stand in his way, they would want Gareth to make his mind up very quickly as recruitment, retention, 'no new players??????' 'Who?' 'This squad is mid table League One if we are lucky' season is upon us 😁
@ChasHarps I said all that pretty safe in the knowledge he isn't going anywhere. No doubt when he does it will be sudden and without a Gasroomer in the know predicting it and to none of the places we have been worried about.
'Bumped into Gareth Ainsworth at the Wokingham jubilee lash up on Saturday evening and had a quick chat. Told him I was a lads fan and saw all the matches against Wycombe this season and to be fair to him he came over very well. Wouldn’t be drawn on who he’ll be managing next season but he did say the difference at Wembley was that our main lads “Stewart and Pritchard” he said, turned up and his main men “McCleary and Vokes” just didn’t turn up.'
No leather trousers in sight. On him or me.'
Of course, it soon degenerated into comments about him looking like a tramp...but I wonder if GA would really slag off his players to a fan in these days of social media, like.

Michael Beale?!
Instead of an ex QPR legend who has done wonders with us?
Do press on QPR...do press on
About time Beale got a no1 job - Villa would be all the weaker for his loss, though

Looks like Michael Beale has got the job at QPR. Now need someone to get Blackburn job and we can all calm down.
Some of us remain calm every time those two 'dream jobs' come up

Move on nothing to see here. 👍️
He can experience everything in football management without the spectre of the tin tack!
Major announcement from Loftus Road that you may have missed

Odds on GA to Blackburn have halved in the last 24 hours

Roll on Blackburn appointing someone else asap so we can get through the nightmare QPR/Blackburn vacancies for another season!
Or another half season as they invariably get the sack just before the January window and during our usual slump.😁

I should clarify he was always invested, but used to be open about wanting to end up at a higher level. I think he can have his cake and eat it now.

The bookies' odds mean nothing
Blackpool fans wouldn't accept an ex-Preston player as manager. The hatred between the two is fierce

Agreed, if he wants to look at other opportunities, make sure its done by the end of this week.
We need to plan, and not just play second fiddle to individuals career prospects.
apparently so:

Haha I saw that, brilliant
Just saw this on the Mackem's forum:

Sounds to me like he just spoke to a bloke with long hair. There is no way Gareth would say that buta random bloke in Wokingham might.
He's a "Lads fan". Lovely and all that, but why is he telling some random that?
And how old are these lads? Do we need to call operation yew tree?
I was wondering when that would make its way onto the Gasroom
That’s a contract and a half, @Chris. Clearly an offer he can’t refuse.
