They are up but could have been crowned Champions the other night but got a draw. I suspect they would quite like to win it at home on Saturday. Poor Gaz.
The reason I am concerned is that there are two types of relegation threatened team at this time of year:
Team A: Turns very feisty and difficult to beat as the desperation kicks in, and we see the best version of them. Examples from this season: Cambridge, Bournemouth.
Team B: So poor that even the looming threat of relegation does not galvanize them beyond the very odd result. Examples from this season: Forest Green, Southampton.
No surprise Jamie Mackie manages to give Ainsworth zero praise for that result, finds some for Rob Dickie though , wonder why that might be, stealing a living.
Well done GA, really didn’t want to see you back at AP next season (in the nicest possible way). Interesting to see how he sets the team up next season, I’d imagine a massive clearout would be on the cards.
So happy for GA - even if they are disloyal, he kept them up and won't have that relegation (with them, anyway) on his CV. I hope he gets the chance to show what he can do.
Lad I work with would've been happy to stick with him even if they went down, and he reckons a lot of others would've as well. Like most clubs, a lot of idiots, but quite a few decent folks as well

'Kompany v GA at Turf Moor does not exactly sound hopeful.'
With a chance to cement being Champions at home after missing out the other night. I think we can write those three points off for Gaz and Dobbo.
(though stranger things have happened I suppose)
Can only hope they've been on the lash celebrating but Kompany doesn't seem the type to stand for that

No prizes for guessing which I see as QPR.
Southampton turned up tonight and just QPR to do the same tomorrow 🤣
I would be thrilled to be wrong!
QPR with 13% possession and 1 shot so far.
up to 18% now and a goal!
Looks like Gareth has saved them from the drop.
Brilliant stuff.
Huge result for Gareth, unfortunately I still wouldn’t bet against QPR moving him on in the summer if a shiny new manager becomes available.
well I was wrong 🤣
happy days!
Yup, Zero class there and lots up in the air. Will they let him sell and buy? Probably not.
At least our season wasn't wrecked for nothing then.
Gaz taking them down and being sacked would have been the ultimate pointlessness.

It feels as though GA just left, but he and MB are already the 77th and 78th longest tenured managers of the 92. Absolute insanity!
Typical Ainsworth, only 20% possession and win the game. Nobody does it better. Hope QPR fans enjoy that type of football.
Got his magic working at just the right time.
Spoiler alert: They don't.
You wouldn't want to watch it every week though.
They will if he gets them promoted next season
Very true! Flying pigs make a great backdrop to any game.

Looking forward to them giving him just long enough to cut the wage bill and then replacing him with someone foreign who they'll then sack 6 games in.

Glad Gaz kept them up.
For our season to utterly fall apart and for him to fail there would just have been horribly pointless.
Utterly delighted to see them safe. Well done Gareth.
I work with a QPR season ticket holder... and he's more than happy with Gaz, not all of them hate him
They've just won a couple of games - so he's good.
Give it a few more bad games...
