Now I’ve only just come across this website so wouldn’t have a scooby as to how accurate it is but this has all players for the 21-22 listed and what salary they’re on.. Scowen listed at 6.1k per week, Vokes 4.6k per week…
See Bazunu (played on loan at Pompey last season) has signed for Southampton, suspect he will be vying with their other keeper signing (Mateusz Lis) for the No1 spot following Forster signing for Spurs - so thats one possible loanee gone...
If Nathan did sign, and made a couple of early season howlers, would we see members of the drone army behind the goal, react by furiously 'Bashing the Bishop' ??
Foster has played all of his career above league 1, but is 39, and maybe fancies playing every game for another season. Rather than being someone else's backup?
I'd like to see us think a bit more long-term with our goalkeeper - but maybe that is a case of loanee for now with a view to Dickinson taking the gloves down the line.
And Foster won't be playing his football any lower than the Championship next season.
Not saying it is going to happen, but Foster maybe would be seen as helping the long term if having him around for a season would help Dickinson's development.
What about Will Grigg as a Bayo replacement? He'll be released at the end of his contract with Sunderland and while I know he won't do the same job that Bayo did, he is a proven goal scorer?
He has a strange record looking back. Obviously the epic song and went for 3m not long ago, but hasn't scored over 8 goals in a season in 4 years, when playing for some of the dominant teams in the league.
Hasn't managed over 20 league appearances in 4 years either.

Bit of an interesting read (especially if true) https://salarysport.com/football/sky-bet-championship/wycombe-wanderers/
It's all made up though.

This is going to lead to more players being available in the loan market and on frees https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61847889
Lol Bazunu was never going to be a possible loanee!
I know but it was as realistic as most other suggestions on this thread
Wtf is Premier League 2? And isn’t that an oxymoron?
The reserve/youth league
Cesc Fàbregas is a free agent, worth a punt imo
Too old. We're going for a younger squad demographic.
Nooo, not you as well.
The whole facebook wycombe group is full of wags saying xxx and yy super high profile totally unrealistic players are out of contract 🤣
Also, there probably aren't many clubs in our league less suited to sign a strolling ball player. We need our centre mids to put huge yardage in.
He’s just a shit Nick Freeman.
Rumour floating around Twitter that we’re looking at Man United keeper Nathan Bishop who was on loan at Mansfield last season.
Ben Foster would be a huge improvement. He is an absolute top, top goalkeeper. We've lost Bayo's YouTube influence too.
Nathan Bishop comes from Hillingdon, so maybe a move to a club from west of London might be quite attractive.
If Nathan did sign, and made a couple of early season howlers, would we see members of the drone army behind the goal, react by furiously 'Bashing the Bishop' ??
Foster is too busy with his GoPro - caused quite a lot of friction at Watford last season
Plus absolutely no way he'd drop to L1
Won't that just have been the usual people complaining for the sake of complaining? Like the criticism of Akinfenwa for his annual Super Bowl trip.
Apparently both Aston Villa and Arsenal are interested in bringing him in as a back up keeper! So I agree, definitely no chance he drops to L1.
Nope https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/20210631.watford-chairmans-disappointment-actions-foster-hodgson
Wouldn't fit in with Gareth's team ethos. Regularly slagged off his team mates at Watford.
Didn't Bayo decide how much / little he wanted to train with the club. I think I heard an interview with Gareth where he said as much.

You never know.
Who thought Vokes would fancy here.

Must surely be after sky high wages too.
Someone as high profile as Grigg is not going to come and sit on Wycombe's bench. The thread is called 'realistic signings'....
