And rightly so, The Notts scabs and their breakaway UDM, who took Thatchers grubby shilling deserve the disdain still shown to them..
What they did should never be forgotten, not just the betrayal of there fellow miners, but helped keep the Grantham Witch in power for longer.
By that logic is everyone from Wycombe Tory scum because the town relentlessly elects Tory MPs?
And the Notts miners who did strike and the communities divided forever. Like most things in.life it is not all simple right and wrong on the ground. Doubt many Forest fans now are bothered by that any.more than we are by anti-football.
I always think the worst thing about pitch invasions like last night, is the fact that the players don't get to celebrate properly ! They we all immediately bundled and has to be escorted off the pitch
Exactly my thoughts when watching. I'd much rather our half hour post-MK where the players were able to enjoy the moment with us, rather than the 30 seconds of potential excitement of running onto the pitch before trudging off home after 5 minutes.

Indeed. At Spurs and from the gods in Milton Keynes the players got to celebrate with us rather than trying to escape selfish fuckwits hanging off them with a phone or worse for an opposition player.

A vast difference on whom you vote for in an election, than betraying your fellow workmates and Comrades and those you democratically elected to the Exec of the NUM..
All those Notts miners that took the Grantham witches grubby shilling and formed the UDM, deserve the comments that they get subjected to.
They committed the ultimate betrayal, you reap what you sew.

100% agree. It shows a complete lack of respect for the players and takes away the vast majority of any celebrations
Sorry Chas, I normally really enjoy your posts, but justifying abuse of Forest and their fans because of something a group of miners did two generations back isn't far removed from abusing Man Utd over Munich or Liverpool about Heyshel or Hillsborough. (And yes I did and still do, support the miners' strike).
So is it going to be frowned upon if I try to get on the pitch at Wembley, for a selfie with Bayo, after we've beaten Sunderland on Saturday?
Just asking for a friend ...

Looks like most of the "neutral" tickets have been sold on/ touted. Which pen pushers think that having large numbers of tickets allocated for neutrals in finals is a good idea?

Thick and coked up to their eyeballs
Making assumptions and generalising people with drug habits as being morons is a bit shallow. There are a few variables:
(1) he could just be a twat
(2) he could have/not have been drunk
(3) he could have been on drugs/or not been on drugs
(4) all or a combination of the above
Just because someone is (in your opinion) "coked up to their eyeballs" doesn't mean they are immediately capable of doing that. They have to have that in them in the first place.
I have had issues with addiction in the past, but I am a perfectly decent person and my addictions NEVER made me even THINK about doing anything of the sort. In fact, I'd go as far as saying alcohol is so much worse. Generalising and associating drug addicts and thugs is ridiculous and you are tarnishing people that have genuine issues with the same brush as people/thugs like him.
Thankfully, I got help and I am over my issues. But it REALLY winds me up that people associate drugs and alcohol with you being a bad person. It's so far from the truth and a very shallow outlook from the outside from someone that doesn't know the damage that addiction can cause to perfectly "normal" families.
I'm sure you didn't mean it like that - but it's what a lot of people do think. Drugs and alcohol don't immediately make you a bad person.

I didn't mean it like that at all - the criminalisation of drugs causes far more problems than it solves - but there is a real issue with increasing cocaine use at football matches and there is considerable overlap between that and antisocial behaviour the like of which we saw last night.

Fair play to you.
Thanks @ReturnToSenda . It wasn't a personal dig at you, I know you didn't mean it like that.
I see it far too often and people in general need educating. Cocaine doesn't make you do stuff, unless you have that in you already - in any case I'd say alcohol is worse. Alcohol makes you lose your inhibitions, cocaine makes you more confident. The two together mixed with a bad attitude towards life and not giving a f**k can be detrimental. I wouldn't say it's the drugs or alcohol that cause it, it's in the person already. It contributes but it's not the reason.
One thing cocaine does do is makes you want to drink more, which could well be the issue with people that can't handle their booze.
Everything in moderation if you are that way inclined.

Would have been pretty stupid to invade the pitch after a defeat at White Hart Lane

On a different subject...have I missed the reason the Scousers booed the heir to the throne, National Anthem and Abide with Me?
Probably something to do with the fact that their city is treated like absolute shit by the establishment...

I seem to recall there was a lot of that in the 1970s, 80s and 90s before the Columbian marching powder was so freely available.
Genuinely, massive congratulations in overcoming addiction. About the hardest thing anyone could do.
You should be very proud of yourself.

Northampton have been so flat tonight. Maybe not a surprise after the way their season ended.
Don't worry, I didn't take it as a dog!
Woof!
Amazing that a major European final was allowed to be held in a stadium like this
Jesus christ.
Only 45% of those who voted voted Tory in 2019. Once you factor in the 70% turnout, it's even lower, so most people in the town didn't vote Tory.
24 weeks jail.
Swift justice.

Two-year banning order? Pathetic. Should be life.
