If it was a Wycombe game, Allsop would have gone for a second rendition of the national anthem, tapping along to the beat with his studs on the bottom of the post. We would all be clock watching at 5 past waiting for the game to start.
I actually feel less emotional than I thought I would owing to how soft the penalty was and how likeable Denmark are. It happens, though, and I'll take it - I just hope that if we win the final it is an overhead scissors kick. It would be nice if the image that joins Geoff Hurst in mid-belt is not one of our players falling over with a pained expression!
Soft penalty or not we were all over them for long periods so if it is possible to deserve a bit of luck we certainly did ! It was checked by VAR and everything???

Yep, one of the all time worst over quotes.
Watching the news before the coverage starts is far too upbeat for my liking.
Humbling lose incoming
Come on England
Hello darkness my old friend...
How do you delete a post?
Thank goodness for the equaliser. I was starting to get that familiar old feeling.
Maybe the penalties will come tonight
Is injury time not a thing anymore?
I'll be gutted if we lose, but it is so hard to hate Denmark. It's like hating a dolphin, or something.
We need a hero. I am going for Mount.
You can tell it isn’t a Wycombe game.

Jason McCarthy coming on.
No crisps in the Wembley kiosks.
IT'S COMING ?
Those last 5 minutes were built on those first three games
Calmness.
Confidence on the ball.
Controlling a game.
Thoroughly deserved victory! Great night.
Ok, who on here has seen this before?
Cheating to get a penalty? Happens all the time.
I saw Wycombe hold on after a winning penalty against Oxford, but the standard was much higher.
@Wendoverman must have got there early!
Like Wrighty I was 3 in 1966 so i had no idea if it was over the line or not but I did get a full set of Esso coins in 1970...a victory of sorts.

Too right! Before that sweaty maskless lot infected them all.
I had to go to a friend's 7th birthday party in 1966, so it a no from me ...
In fairness I'm not sure we had a TV so I probably couldn't have watched.
I'm only old enough to remember one semi before tonight, let alone a final.

My Dad was at the 1966 Portugal semi-final at Wembley as a teenager. Very bizarre to think that was the last time we celebrated a semi-final victory.
What is it with managers called Gareth?

Actually, I was 'on the scene' for Euro 96 but have zero recollection.
