  • If it wasn't for there keeper we would of been 3or4 up at the break, actually shocks me everytime we play them how much a bitter prick adams is!

  • I love beating Adams and to get a couple of bleats on here has rounded the day off perfectly.
Now I’m off to find some porn

Plymouth fan here, we were awful first half and not much better 2nd, but no wonder you cant fill a small ground and have the atmosphere of a library, do you really enjoy watching that shite every week, there are more important things than winning and as a spectacle it was truelly awful, your keeper was a disgrace , does he realise how pathetic he looks, you may think its good old Wycombe beating the odds by using their limited resources to maximum effect, but its not its just pathetic cheating and spoiling a Saturday afternoon for everyone including you

I had a cracking Saturday afternoon thanks. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

  • Another deluded set of fans, believing they are a sleeping giant with some kind of divine right to beat us. Truly embarrassing. Adams is an utter c@@t. Deflecting attention from his own dismal efforts time and time again. He would do very well to have a look at the way Ainsworth handles himself.
You got turned over. Simple as that. We have played some great stuff this year by the way.
You’re whining and bleating is comical. Take it on the chin. Plenty of other “big clubs” have had to do just that this season. Mugs.

  • I can see why the Plymouth fans prefer spending time on this board than their own. Theirs is tracking you and selling your data to a staggering 469 data harvesters.

  • I just checked, and before the game today, Plymouth were a MASSIVE two places above us in the League One fair play table (10th versus 12th), so clearly we must cede the higher moral ground to them.

Secondly - has anyone even got sent off against us this season? For all the kerfuffle of trying to get players sent off, I can't think of a single instance.

Oh, and just the 7 shots on target to 1 today. Don't get me wrong, the second half was nothing to emboss and frame, but if we played anti-football, I am wondering what you call something that is one 7th as incisive...

  • Thank you Derek Adams, @greenmachine and @tommytynan01 for putting the icing on a very satisfactory 1-0 win.

If @argylephil could make an appearance too that would really be wonderful.

Safe journey back to Home Park the Nou Camp.

Plymouth fans seem somewhat blind to their own team's physicality, play acting and outright cheating. Surprised Bayo's shirt survived the game, the amount of pulling it got.

Off the ball hits. Keeper faking injury. Groundsman trying to stop warmup. Physios on pitch when not allowed.

Embarrassing mate. Take the win but don't try to justify it.

you were utterly shit and your manager is a vile human being...with your budget you should be embarrassed of how shit you are . your team are dross as is your moaning as fuck prick of a manager. credit where credit is due. .your fans did not stop signing .

  • I was watching sky sports and the female reporter was saying wycombe were the only team in it and deserved to be winning and she said this in both half’s. As she was a neutral just sums up the crap coming out of the Plymouth manager and fans.

  • In fear of being unpopular, I was genuinely appalled at the respect we showed them.

I understand GA clearly has figured out the squad, knows its limits and wants to get to 50 points, but at times this afternoon we treated them as if they were the premier league side in an FA Cup tie. Constantly giving them the ball, little thought given to passes, and time-wasting after 50 minutes.

A strong first half with just a little lack of quality in the final third, but during the second - aside for a couple of Bayo chances - every time we moved forward we really struggled to pick out the last pass, and to give a poor Plymouth side the ball whenever they fancied really is criminal.

After the first goal, they were there for the taking. They offered little going forward, and we could've properly pushed for a 2nd in the first half.

Still, there is something nice about a properly sh*thousing win against DA's bunch.

  • Saw Wimbledon tonight who were 3-2 v West Ham and still attacking in the 90th minute, your lot started time wasting in the first half, then time wasted and feigned injury and generally cheated throughout the 2nd. You might be happy cos you won but there is more to football than that, and me and many other football fans including 4 young boys and girls I brought today who don’t usually go to football will never go to Adams park again . Enjoy

  • Tommytynan. I’ve listened to what you’ve had to say , I bid you good day.
    Naive in the extreme.

  • I’m a lot of things but not naive I understand exactly what you were doing I just don’t like it and if my club behaved like that I’d stop watching them, got better things to do on a Saturday afternoon

  • Not protecting a lead is naive in the extreme. Pretending that your players don’t do it ? Again , very naive.
You are in desperate need of points. Next time you’re ahead , you don’t think your players will be slowing the game down to try and see it out ? Absolute nonsense.

  • Well no we don’t actually play the game like that, never have, in fact I’ve never seen any team so anti football as today, I’ve seen us take the ball into the corner after 90 mins but that’s about it, ainsworth has clearly taken a view that once you’re ahead then the less time the ball is in play the more likely you’ll win and any cheating justifies the ends , well if you’re happy with that then fine but it won’t happen at my club , we actually enjoy watching football

  • I bought three hundred children for their first visit to Adam's park today they were crying from about 50 minutes in because of the blatant winning at all costs they had to endure. They will never come to Adam's park again and if my team played to win in that way I would put out my own eyes with a rusty fork. I for one hope that we will be playing proper footballing teams like Stevenage and Colchester next season. I will never come on your fans forum to moan and bleat again but I suppose you 'won't care' about that. Typical wycombe!

  • I also enjoy watching football. As I said earlier , we have played some great stuff this season. During the winning run we were on before Christmas , Akinfenwa wasn’t in the side. Yet opposition fans and managers still trot out the same old garbage about you know what you’re going to get with Wycombe , blah blah blah. It’s lazy and is nothing more than attempts to defect attention from the woeful performance of their own side.
Plymouth Argyle, paragons of virtue ? Do me a favour. Don’t want to come back to Adams Park ? Fine. Crack on.

  • I love the class Plymouth fans showed booing a "feigning" El Abd at Home Park. He went on to miss a stretch of games, so he must really get into his acting!

They truly are a beacon of light and ray of hope to us all.

Aaah so it was the kids that brought the home attendance over 4,000 today, well whatever, at least I’m going to sleep tonight knowing I’ll never go to that dump again and pay my money and lose 90 minutes of my life watching a bunch of crappy actors and cheats pretending they’re playing a football match. No history no class no wonder hardly anyone’s bothered ?enjoy and goodnight

  • Are we worried ????

  • What a hilarious read ?

The first question I'd have is do any Plymouth fans think they deserved anything from the game? If any reply yes I'd be gobsmacked.

The 2 biggest stoppages were for blatant fouls, one of which the referee made a genuine error of not stopping play for a head injury, whether he thought it was a foul or not.

Yes second half we took our time, but no nothing out of the ordinary, and frankly, we could have played till next week and kept a clean sheet we were that superior today, do Plymouth fans really think it was because of time wasting they lost? Or because their manager sent out a side that was not good enough? Unbelievably deluded set of fans

When all fans say you play act and when opposition players say you're trying to get them booked...

Your right winger did literally nothing in the first half except try to get our left back booked. Care to reflect on that?

The sourest of sour grapes on your part. Plymouth really are a horrible little team with a horrible manager and horrible fans to boot.

we were crap but stopping the other team play and minimising the time the ball is in play by play acting is pathetic and cheating and embarrassing for you club, I came to watch a game of football

When you talk about play acting, I'm assuming you're referring to the elbow on Jacobson and the two occasions when our goalkeeper was taken out, the second time with a karate kick?

Come on Tommy, relegation isn't a certainty for you just yet.

  • Don’t worry, @tommytynan01, ‘cause every little thing is gonna be all right.

  • In the bcs league (big club syndrome) Plymouth return to the top with Bristol rovers second and oxford third, however in the league that matters were above them all

  • Some absolute jokers on their forum. Some talk as if Ainsworth going to manage there would actually be a realistic possibility !! When Gareth decides that he’d like to take the opportunity of managing higher up the leagues, one thing is for sure , it won’t be at Plymouth ! Poor deluded souls.
Still incandescent that a club like Wycombe have dared to disrupt “Derekball”, the purest form of the beautiful game. Clowns.

Don't think alsop covered himself in glory but he was caught by your player late on.Believe me we don't play like this every week hence 9th position.Look At the 1st half display Should have been 3 up.Cant you recognise that Plymouth were poor and didn't deserve anything from the match.

  • @tommytynan01 Do you really think we use those tactics week in week out? It's probably worth pointing out that we have actually scored more goals and I suspect provided more entertainment for our fans than Plymouth have this season. I have a feeling that the animosity between the managers plays a part here. GA knows exactly how to get under Adam's skin and uses that to his advantage during matches. Personally I've never seen a team or manager become so riled by something that's quite common in the game. And were we really THAT bad? I have seen worse!

I do agree with an earlier poster that I don't think we needed to resort to those tactics yesterday, Plymouth were so poor and were there for the taking to be honest. Whatever they think of time wasting I don't think anyone could claim Argyle deserved anything from the game however?

I'm intrigued by the feigning injuries suggestion? Please give some example? Allsop perhaps, but he was certainly crudely taken out a couple of times. The long stoppage for Jacobsen was absolutely justified, as he caught a nasty elbow to the face. Plymouth players also went down injured, but I assume they were all genuine?

And as you seem to hold such high moral standards, perhaps you could share your thoughts on the disgusting abuse our young keeper was subjected to at Home Park a few years ago by both your fans and incredibly your manager as he was stretchered from the field with an injury that finished his professional career? I would love to hear your take on that, because I'm fairly sure that was the spark the ignited the unpleasantness between the 2 sides.
