@micra A little older, so just about able to remember the winter of '63. Can recall my dad trying to dig a way down the front path and it just filling in with new snow as fast as he could dig it out.
We're all good thanks, but missing the granddaughter - hopefully able to go visit in July. A couple of people I know have had the virus and come through Ok, as far as I know I've missed it.
Hopefully we can meet up again at AP sometime in the not too distant future.
Take care.
Definitely @Twizz. The Chairboys Village beckons!
I was living in Harrow in ‘63 but spending a lot of time at my girl friend’s house in Mill Hill. (Those were my Wealdstone supporting days.) The snow was very deep and piling up into 2-3 ft drifts even there so I can imagine how bad it was in these hilly parts. The strange thing was that pretty well all the snow fell between Boxing Day and the New Year and little if any between early January and March but, for eight or nine weeks, the easterly beast kept temperatures below freezing night and day.

One of my favourite Wycombe players, a tricky winger who liked to run at players...one in the Gaz mould and surely Gaz's sort of player?
He was popular with Plymouth fans so it's a surprise they released him maybe it's down to money who knows?
Grant only played 9 games this season (although he did score 4 goals). Don’t know if he’s had injury problems or what. He was a player I always hoped we might get back one day, but he’ll be 33 in August and may have lost that extra yard of pace he used to such great effect when he was with us.
Dare I say, I think we may be in a position to be aiming for a higher calibre of player now.
Ibe talks about the pressures he has faced. He doesn’t talk about Wycombe but interesting how much he talks about social media and what it does to a players confidence. Would be surprised not to see him at a Championship side next season.

The two months (?) shutdown January-March 1963 was a bit of a bummer but you were probably still in a cot!
