@DevC I suppose it depends what you define as ‘decent’, but I’d say NLS is a pretty decent level myself and he’s played there for the last 2/3 seasons. Whether or not another side at that level sign him now remains to be seen, but as I said, he’s still only 27.
Not a Wycombe story but thought I'd share as it's about one of the best players ever turning up somewhere small and getting on with it, perhaps a few echo's with some of our star turns and a thought for ageing pro's. And it's a good yarn as they say down there.
I was a bit concerned when I read that Maskell was being prepared for that role.
John was a brilliant player but a little long in the tooth to be retrained as a full-back.
Apologies @EwanHoosaami.
@micra, those were the days, eh? The worst we had to deal with was moving the kickoff time in winter during the miners strike, so as not to use the floodlights.
To think we had a very long debate on the gasroom about moving kickoff times and Friday night games not so long ago?
How trivial that now seems ...

It could be (I’ve no idea) that Knott was released due to his wages rather than his footballing ability (or attitude, etc).
I would however imagine there could be a fair amount of good footballers who clubs have to let go as they look to jettison high earners to survive.
He "struggled for consistency in terms of fitness" apparently

Good interview with Nathan Tyson - best Wycombe related stuff from 1 min 15 secs
Do you mean from 1 hr 15 mins?
...Well spotted Alan!
Did wonder when trudging through 6mins of inanities ?
Good interview and he's obviously a nice bloke. I wonder if, had we had the takeover dosh at the end of last season if he might have stayed.

Jordon Ibe is leaving Bournemouth on a free transfer.
Signing for Wycombe in the Championship.
Ugwu scores yet again.> @Gary said:
He's had an illegal haircut!
Not the right character for uour squad, would end up like another Dean Morgan.
Dobbo would sort him out. Think it was Dobbo that "moulded" him.
Just need him to move the decimal place a couple of notches on the rumoured 50k a week wages!
Maybe a hefty singing on fee???
All new players have to sing when they join, don't they? Part of the initiation.

EFL Young Talent - Ebere Eze is now available on Sky On Demand. It’s only 15 minutes long but a decent watch.
A few compliments on Wycombe’s impact on his career.

I think this is the best place to post this?
Genuinely expect him to be at AP next season.
Cheick Keita would be a good signing as a long term replacement for JJ.
Haven't we already got Maskell for that role. At least that what I thought was the long term plan?
Mascoll is out of contract this summer so it would be hard to tell. If his contract was renewed then sure.
I've quite liked Mascoll when he's played. There's definitely a lot of promise.
I was a bit concerned when I read that Maskell was being prepared for that role.

Apologies @EwanHoosaami.
However if he has played only nine times in all competitions this season, is that enough evidence to prove he is a suitable replacement?
He has been good however in most games...
@thedieharder I'm undecided, but it surely hasn't helped his chances much that JJ has had one of (maybe the) best seasons of his career.

@Twizz: indeed.
Trust you and yours are keeping ok?
