I mean this as no disrespect (but I'm afraid it is unavoidable).... a three year contract? Forest signs players for fun and to think Dale will be in their first team set up anytime soon is fanciful. He's a decent player and improved last season but Premier League? I guess this is an example of breeding players for cash as I am sure Forest will simply try and get a good season out of him then sell him for a few quid.
I don't quite understand what you're saying @TheAndyGrahamFanClub? You appear to suggest that Forest shouldn't have offered him a 3 year contract because he isn't of Premier League standard.
Yet there seems no difference in what Forest are doing compared to our own academy plans.
Identify talent, nurture and develop the talent, hopefully sell the player for a profit on the investment.
I'm saying exactly that. Its a financial decision to give him a new contract not a football one. Looking at some of the transfers there are a lot of fringe former youth players now being sold for big money. I'm interested in how the cold hard economics work out when they assess non-first team players.
It's a dodge this year Chelsea are most keen on, if you sell a youth team player for a £1m you are allowed to spend £8m on new players if you account for it over 8 years, Happy sustainability accountants.
It's clearly all BS though. Inflated Homegrown player prices, prioritising selling homegrown players before they have any chance of success or forcing them out, long term contracts for people who are only punts, maybe you can loan them out of they fail, none of it is ideal. Also removes any sense of value and importance of the right players rather than just numbers.
Max made his first league start this weekend, and kept a clean sheet as Jageillonia Bialystok beat Widzew Łódź to record their first win in seven. Hopefully he’ll get a good run in the team now.

Darius Charles has joined Fulham. Not sure on his role but he’s either joining the coaching staff or he’s lining up against Ipswich on Saturday 😂
Where’s this?
He posted it on his Instagram. I suspect he will be an Academy coach as he runs a lot of training at Osterley Goals with kids.
Dale Taylor has joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.

But that is the only way most clubs can become financially sustainable.

I’ve seen a lot of comment in the press about how outrageous the FFP rules are that mean that clubs have to sell their homegrown talent.
This completely ignores the fact that they wouldn’t have to if they hadn’t spent the £8m (using your analogy) on another overseas duffer
David Stockdale appointed interim coach of Blyth Spartans.Good luck to him top bloke
AAH2 starts for Ipswich against Wimbledon this evening.
And scores 3 minutes in
Wondered where AAH1 was, apparently Chippenham Town, sometimes defender, Matty McClure up front.
But Wimbledon are now winning so not going well
☺️
Max made his debut for Jageillonia Bialystok in their 3-0 defeat to Ajax in the Europa League. The Polish club lost 7-1 on aggregate.
Saxon Early loan to Lincoln. I think he played for us at least once.
Sounds late to me if its on deadline day.
Please tell me there's a chance Rich Keogh starts today aged 173
Leo Castledine has scored for Shrewsbury.
Luke O’Nien own goal
Charles Dunne being linked with moves to St Johnstone and Tranmere Rovers.

Don’t mention it to @Malone but Chris Forino has been called up to the St Lucia squad.
Very exciting news.
Tjay almost broke the crossbar with an effort just now for Gibraltar, they currently lead Andorra. Bartolo is on the bench.
Puts the St Lucia news into perspective.
A shot, or from barging into it?
(sorry TJay - I couldn't resist)
Wow- D'Mani Mellor signs for Robbie Savage's Macclesfield FC in the Northern Premier League.
