It's funny - I always feel particularly with goalies, it can be pretty fine margins between them flourishing and not doing so well - for example look at Stocko being on loan in L2 and then playing in the Championship.
I couldn't quite remember why Jamie Young left us, but I did find this article where he describes getting dropped in favour of Marek Stech who was brought in on loan during the Peter Taylor era.
Jamie Young left midway though the following season - Jan 2010.
Just seen your post @ValleyWanderer . Chuffed to bits, not just with being able to post the link but with how accomplished Gavin Holligan is as a musician. Up there with the best.
Swap for Taf ? NB, very B - that’s a tongue firmly planted in cheek comment with reference to the rumour @thecatwwfc mentioned on Monday about Tafazolli going to Huddersfield. No idea what sources that was based on.
If memory serves I think it was also Scott Shearer being brought in the season or two after Young, they had a bit of a battle to be no1, both had long injuries but Shearer was then peferred when they were both fit? Remember at the time being in favour of Young and not quite understanding Taylor's preference
With Dan Micciche also joining as assistant, Crawley have some serious youth development expertise there. Good chance of attracting some good quality prem loan kids. Dark horses?

No sign of Fred or the Admiral for Luton. Ingram starts for them, Blackman on the bench for Huddersfield.
That's the ref from 2020 final ?
That was a penalty for me.
...who has dropped a bollock by not giving Huddersfield a pen (which he would have done had it not happened 15 seconds in)
Shouldn’t Ingram have done better there? He’s not making many friends in Luton.
Ingram is doing exactly what I want him to.
Ref having the night off up there?
Good thing our pen at Wembley was beyond doubt.
Saw some Oxford goon piping up the other day saying VAR would have overturned it
I think they claim it was offside

Assuming it won’t paste the tweet in - Allsop may well be off to Cardiff on a free transfer.
Matty Cash has just set the final day to chaos mode!
Ollie Pendlebury being linked with Bradford City this morning
Jamie Young wins the A league grand final with underdogs Western Utd
Sorry for the link to The Scum but saw this on the Facebook fans page. Seems Gavin Holligan is now a very respected and successful jazz singer. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/18679639/gavin-holligan-west-ham-music-stevie-wonder/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunsportfacebook250522&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1653490748-1
Thanks @MindlessDrugHoover. For some reason reading that has made me feel a lot better about life, the universe and everything.
I've a feeling that this will please @micra too.
Yeah, that's a very impressive achievement. You can see a fine save that he made in the semi-final here: https://wufc.com.au/news/jamie-young-on-his-remarkable-save-and-answering-the-next-question

Meanwhile, Marek Stech went on to feature heavily for Yeovil and Lu'un, and is currently at Mansfield.
So the same day Jamie Young was winning the A-League final, Stech was an unused sub with Mansfield in the L2 Playoff Final v Port Vale.
Stech was supposed to be the next big thing when we signed him wasn’t he? I’m that odd period when we had a different keeper every couple of weeks!
Scott Davies named club captain at Slough Town
Kevin Betsy odds-on favourite to be next Crawley manager

Jamal Blackman has been released by Huddersfield.

Yes, that was also part of it, I think.
Shearer still lives in Wycombe, up near the old black boy pub.
Not one of our better keepers was Shakin Shearer !!
Kevin Betsy is the new manager of Crawley Town. Really pleased for him.
