Duke lose 2-0 and fail to clinch the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship.
The interesting thing about American college football is that the referee does not keep time on the pitch. Instead the clock is maintained by the scoreboard operator, on signal from the referee I think, and counts down from 45 minutes in each half.
Interesting to see if he gets into the team straight away. They bought Olise in the summer who looks to be a pretty similar type player ( who hasn't really been able to break into the team properly yet and Palace are doing ok with the team they're playing. Hopefully Eze jumps ahead of him in the queue to get into the team.
That's harsh to say the least. Uche thrived with Ainsworth at Wycombe as he was loved and clearly needed loving. Dumping the poor guy like that is pretty rank. They would want a pretty big fee I'm sure which is a shame as I would love him back as a long term replacement for Bayo.
Reports are that they paid £750k and no doubt he is on a much bigger wage than we could pay. Frankly if we can only offer £150k and boro would need to pay 75% of his wages, hard to see why Boro wouldn’t simply keep him just in case unless he is disruptive (which I don’t believe is the case).
Feels unlikely to me .

Dan Scarr enjoying life in League 1 as a ball playing CB
Really enjoyed watching the Wycombe forward line totally ignore him when he had the ball at his feet and just watch him as he ended up hoofing it after a couple of short passes to marked players who gave him the ball back.
Spot on about not bothering to challenge him but, far from hoofing it, he was allowed to look perfectly poised as he repeatedly passed the ball forward on the deck, unchallenged. Certainly in the first half.

He did roll some lovely balls in to the midfield but it nearly always ended up back at his feet again. Eventually in each pattern of play he hoofed it. Wycombe set up knowing Scarr would never hurt them with the ball at his feet and it worked. Great tactics born I am sure from knowing the players skill set
Not a forward surging central defender in the Stewart mould, that’s for sure. Amused me to read what the Plymouth supporter said on here before the game about how Scarr would be their player of the season if Broom hadn’t been so brilliant. We scored twice after Broom came off the bench on 74 minutes.
Dennis Greene is the new manager of Grantham Town after leaving AFC Telford at the weekend, where he was interim manager for six weeks. He takes over as manager from Carlton Palmer, who left Grantham two weeks ago.
Was very underrated here. Too few opportunities really for people to make a considered judgement. Could be back in League 1 next season. Hadn’t cottoned on to how well Sutton are doing. Only the division table toppers from the New Lawn have won more games.

And Mike Brady is his assistant coach.

I’ve just learned that Miguel De Souza is coach of women’s team Hounslow who you can see play Clapton CFC in the second round of the FA Cup. https://www.claptoncfc.co.uk/2021/11/15/clapton-cfc-to-play-hounslow-women-in-the-womens-fa-cup-second-round/
Miguel started off at Clapton. Impressive for seventh tier Clapton CFC to get to the FA Cup Second Round.
Missed this one two days ago. Was inevitable given their recent form.
They are after Big Steve Evans apparently.
Brilliant news - seemed like he might be out a lot longer!
He's got a great chance of getting in the England squad for the world cup

Eze on the bench today.
Already been shown the door by Wilder. It was obvious his time was up as very few managers would use him the way we did and Warnock wanted too.
No chance of him coming back here with Vokes leading the line.

Any chance of him coming back to Wycombe in January. I would love to see him back

Interesting to see that Kashket is being played as a right wing back at Crewe.

Risky business that standing off people and allowing them to attack but we got it spot on yesterday

Pattison getting his sixth goal for Harrogate then. Good move for him.
