I believe he's only just come back from injury. His assists in last week's win were even more impressive than his goal and assist yesterday. Think he was involved in all 3 County goals last weekend.
Anyway, I don't want to go OTT on these rumours, just something I heard from a mate, albeit a mate who has contacts at their end.
Could just be realisation the three of them won't likely all play 25 straight games without a break here and there.
I did briefly wonder during the game wether Nick freeman could do a job in that area for us and if he no longer is desperate to play every week as he hasn't played regularly since he left but I wouldn't post that on the gasroom as people would lose their minds about that, and because he almost certainly isn't the standard required anymore and surely nobody would disagree. :)
With Caleb Taylor performing so well and a new manager coming in, I would imagine we will be heavily linked with Lloyd Jones as a potential replacement. We’ve been linked with him for a few windows now. He’s in superb form for Charlton and his profile matches Joe Low and Caleb Taylor in terms of statistics and attributes. The data would probably suggest we revisit him. Six months left on his contract and Charlton are safe with nothing to play for this season. Their finances must be a mess. I’m sure a lot of League 1 will be interested. He’s a right sided centre half, so Joe Low may switch to the left side to accommodate (as he has done plenty of times under Blooms). Charlton have only conceded one goal in the five where he has returned to the team and they are unbeaten with him back in the XI.
Look Here I don't want the Police on My Back so the plan is to send in the Sandinista! to do the Rebel Waltz to the Sound of Sinners, and a Crooked Beat, so that with Shepherds Delight we'll have a Street Parade with Bloomfield as The Leader along Broadway to Mensforth Hill to celebrate Something About England just One More Time to convince our players that their best Career Opportunities are to have the Call Up as Chairboys rather than just Living in Fame elsewhere and new and extended contracts are handed out to the Magnificent Seven then Lets Go Crazy celebrating but remember this is just one possible Version Pardner and as ever guided by the immortal words Charlie Don't Surf
Palace right back Danny Imray set to sign for us on loan. Here we go. He is supposed to be absolutely fantastic. At Bromley on loan at the moment. One of the best players in League 2. Pattenden must be injured for a while.
I cover Bromley and Danny Imray has been outstanding for them this season. He and Connor Ellis Barrett (Walsall) are my right-back picks for the League 2 team of the year (so far). He's been playing as a wing-back though, so could we maybe switch to a back three?
One of our possible January transfer targets - Colchester United midfielder Arthur Read - who would be a replacement for Aaron Morley - is waiting on the results of a scan after suffering a knee injury on Boxing Day.
I had seen this too. Odd in a way. Our club captain is right back. A youngster shows his ability and rightly makes the position his own. We bring in a loan right back and push both of them back.
With Jack and Jasper do we need another right back? We need cover for Harvie who after an iffy start has been one of our best players of the season i reckon.
I wouldn't be worried about this. If we're signing a right back it almost certainly means that Pattenden is out for longer than expected, rather than being pushed down the pecking order.
Grimmer has been outstanding in parts of this season. He’s also an absolutely fantastic captain. Let’s not forget that he was fairly disappointing in a few games (much earlier in the season). The data will suggest he is a weak link in our side. The data will suggest full/wing backs make a smoother transition between League 2, 1 and the Championship, allowing a League 2 wing back to more comfortably step up than any other position could. Dan Harvie also made the switch from wing back in a back 5 to full back in a back 4 very well on the back of the same data analytics we will employ when signing someone like Imray.
I would imagine this is a horses for courses sort of move where Grimmer and Imray feature fairly interchangeably depending on tactical approach and whether Leahy or Scowen are on the pitch as part of Blooms’ wider leadership group. Pattenden must be out of the equation for 6+ weeks.
Grimmer is soon to turn 31 and we should be succession planning in the event of a promotion because he probably isn’t cut out as a Championship performer. He also cannot feature every single game in January and the alternative right back options are very weak - Skura out of position? Wheeler? What else?
I know the above feels very harsh on Grimmer, but the analysts and coaches will be incisive to get the best outcomes for the club. It’s part and parcel.
I've said this before on here, to widespread disapproval, but Matt is data-driven and relatively unsentimental. He'll know that neither Grimmer nor Pattenden are as consistently good as right back as Harvie is as left back. Ergo - there's room for improvement - and in a squad gunning for promotion that's what needs to be done. I also said I think Pattenden would benefit from a loan to another League 1 club where he'll be first choice - I still stand by that.
I’m moderately amused by the amount of fans are saying we should sign Kone. And even Birmingham fans saying ‘if we wanted him, we would take him’. Very little Google ability as to our ownership.
Spot on - I don't think he is going no matter who comes in. We have him under contract until 2026, and though you don't keep a player against their will (and if big money is coming in) that rule does not really apply in January.
We need two genuine 'first choice,' contenders for each position. This makes sense if Jasper is out for a while. Although it's terribly hard luck for him.

Crowley scored a superb goal against MK just yesterday. It's a thumbs up from me.

Similar player to Morley by all accounts. Could this be the non-Morley alternative?
Crowley (Notts number 7) looks good in yesterday's highlights...

Looks more like Humphreys style of play to me but pretty good in that footage.
cracking player going on that performance

I think any player signed on a permanent basis these days would have to be seen as having Championship potential.

Pattenden must be out for a while, as otherwise you're back to having 3 competing right backs again which seems too much.
We surely aren't going to go back to wing backs again.
I wouldn't be worried about this. If we're signing a right back it almost certainly means that Pattenden is out for longer than expected, rather than being pushed down the pecking order.
I'm not 100% Pattenden had made the position his own either. I reckon it's still a 50-50 who plays there.
I expect Blooms wants the option of a RB who offers more going forward

unless a really big club come in he won’t be going anywhere , as you said obviously ignorance to the current owners wealth.
