Less so than other positions, but he's proof that we know how to sniff them out. You can never account for every eventuality, clearly, but I trust our succession planning. Anyway, let's see if anything comes of it first.
Joe Low might well be out of contract in the summer but as he’s under 24 we would be due compensation. Bristol City will be due a percentage of it as well.
I can see Low going. I was surprised when we got him and he’s proved to be Championship quality throughout his career with us. Yes, yes he can play Championship football next season with us but I’m sure his agent won’t see it that way.
Without being too biased Kone going would be too soon for him. He’s wonderful, possibly up there with the best we’ve had, but he’s only been a pro 12 months and when his dip comes better in our loving arms that in front of an angry mob.
lots of fans from clubs such as blackburn millwall etc saying they should be bidding for kone , obviously no research into our owner if they think 1/2 a mil will cut it . If you were kone you would stick with wycombe to least the end of the season and see where we are at . I’m sure there will be far more interest from clubs further up
In the unlikely event Kone leaves next week I will be very depressed. Because I love him and want to marry him. Because it would really hit home that we are an academy with a football team attached.
January is already the longest month of the year, we’re all skint, it’s pitch black, and there’s nothing to look forward too. 31 days worrying about players leaving might just ruin us all
This was always going to happen with us being near the top of the league. Teams sniffing around our top players. Kone and Low have been outstanding this season. The next few weeks are really going to show how serious the owner is , in supporting Bloomfield to get into the Championship. Have to say, I’m pretty nervous.
This first comment is spot on. Ultimately, at a club Wycombe's size, we really have two options, neither of which are thrilling, but one better than the other.
No-one wants our players because we are terrible.
Everyone wants our players because we are great.
No matter how biased we are about following the greatest team the world has ever seen, Forino to Bolton was the latest example of how we are simply never going to be big enough to keep serious talent long term. Even if we offer silly money, bigger clubs will offer the same, plus playing in front of 20,000+ fans.
That all being said, #2 is much preferable - it just means we are going to have to reinvent the wheel a little every season, which adds a challenge to Blooms' remit over many of his upwardly mobile L1 peers.

Edit - Wrong!
Imray played for Bromley today.
Swansea have a bid in for Kone. Here we go. He was outstanding at Stevenage and superb today. He’s timed his form excellently
Happy New Year everyone…
Here's hoping for a hefty release clause
X2
No
January is not the time to get raided, but there's a whole world of great players out there. We'll be fine one way or another.
There aren’t a whole world of strikers - as Richard’s transfer fee will attest.
I’m sure that Swans fans will be loving the thought of a Cardiff lad in their ranks

We lose, Jimmy Carter dies and now this.
WORST DAY EVER
The anti-John Charles
Why would we sell anyone ? We don’t need to.

We don't need to, but if a release clause is met and the player wants to go then we have no say.
Kone played in the Homeless World Cup in Cardiff.
Cardiff is in Wales. Swansea is in Wales.

Actually, I suppose that's not quite true - we do need to sell if we're to be sustainable, but we can hold out for maximum value.

(what an idea, to be signed as backup)
I think there is an issue with their sources if they think the asking price for Kobe is £500,000. Maybe 20 times that.

If Kone has a 500k release clause, I really am getting the bedsheets out. No way in hell 😂
Will be sad to lose Low, I think he's the best CB we've ever had.

Because I love him and want to marry him. Because it would really hit home that we are an academy with a football team attached. We learned our lesson after Mehmeti and Forino

Facts people.
