We've not seen much of him ourselves unfortunately, but he seems highly regarded as he got a 3 year deal when he joined us, which was a surprise to everyone, and apparently did very well in his previous loans.
Without being dismissive of the level Gateshead are playing at he has done well on loan at that level and in pre-season or minor cup games against similar opponents, seems pretty determined and combative and I think he should do well for you. As the Dr says nobody here knows much beyond that as he's not had many opportunities.
Combative. A good passer. Breaks up play. Unfortunately during his stay with us we have had some of the best in that role so he has never had a chance.
Perhaps some kind of vehicle to get him to sign up on low wages, if he had any clauses based on appearances or anything like that he'd still be on the basic.
I think it is important that the new owners visit the gasroom soon and see the madness that this place has descended, favourite hill now. Maybe throwing us a signing would stabilise the place.
On the assumption they've got to the Cressex Filling Station....
They could use the Cressex Link road and go down Marlow Hill if they want to see The Big Show. Otherwise it's gonna be straight down New Road which I always find is an anti-climax, maybe a thrill ride down Chairborough or Rutland Avenue?

Doh - this is what you get for rudely derailing the tangent train and posting boringly on topic.
There is no date at the top of the article, but re-reading it, it’s talking about last season.
Schoolboy error.
Let the tales of linguistic foibles, puns and pedantry blossom unto this thread once more.
Eats shoots and leaves.
Eats shoots, and leaves.
Eats, shoots, and leaves.
Please no!!!
Punctuation. It’s the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you’re shit.
What about people who say "either" instead of "neither".
"I don't like that"
"Me either"
Careful. One false move and I'll start the 'less' 'fewer' holy wars.
Rumour-mongering isn’t for everyone
We are all on tenter hooks
Gateshead fan here!
Is Jack Young any good? Seen something that he is linked with us. Anyone know about this?

Did well on loan at Wealdstone last season, and is from the north east so the move makes sense.
Late to recent posts on this thread.
Seems extraordinary in retrospect but I thought he got a 5 year deal.
Surely not.
Can’t be far off being our longest serving player now
Think we might have given Ainsworth some sort of deal around that once, but 3 years is the longest we've offered a player.
It was definitely an odd one, as the other 3 year contract players were all really instant game changer types that we knew would be big players here.

Any incomings expected @kipper ?
I see Jack Currie has gone from Wimbledon to Oxford. I'm pretty happy with Dan Harvie, of the two, despite the slightly sour Franchisey taste.
Quiet week or so. Any rumours?
Apparently we are interested in Elkan Baggott , who is at Ipswich. So are Derby. Otherwise seems very quiet.
At 6’5” he’d be our second tallest defender.
Derby County or Wycombe? Surely no contest.
Pretty sure he was in Lord of the Rings
.sorry didn't mean to post. Can't seem to delete!
Ainsworth for England

Which hill would we like any new signing to descend from?
If an appreciation of hills is not in your very soul, one has to question your commitment to the Wye Valley.
