Those crisps tasted like salt with a homeopathic memory of potato. I didn’t choose them, they came with the half time brisket sandwich I had ($21!).
As for the game, very enjoyable with no shortage of skill or full blooded sliding tackles, amazing atmosphere from start to finish, and a lead thrown away in the 93rd minute, presumably just for my benefit.
Did any see that the asset stripping has continued at Reading FC? The owner wants a quick sale of their training ground so that he can "pay the wages". It such a sorry state for that club. On paper, it should have everything going for it, excellent location (yes its out of town but it's close to M4 / A33 to Basingstoke for M3 to get away), young set up that has produced a few good players and are far enough away that won't be stolen from Premier League youth sides and a stadium that is fairly modern & can be (easily) expanded if the attendances allow.
It seems as though all clubs have this issue at some point in a 10 yr cycle. We have seen it with Portsmouth, Wigan, QPR, Leeds etc etc etc
I know few people care about grass roots football but the very wet weather is causing chaos in the South West. As I have already reported National League South Truro are currently playing “home” games in Gloucester. Now one league down Plymouth Parkway are having to move games to Bristol. Other clubs are also struggling. The effect on finances for clubs already teetering on the edge is potentially catastrophic.
The FA, always keen to help, have ignored pleas for a season extension and in Parkway’s case turned down an option to play 20 miles up the road in Newton Abbott as the ground has too few seats for supporters. So instead of an achievable 40 mile round trip , instead supporters must travel 240 miles. Inevitably very few will actually travel. YCMIU.
Chesterfield on the verge of official promotion back to L2, having cakewalked the division all year. Strange to think that their initial L2 home game next season will be their first since the Gape game!

If they do puns too, we all have a new MLS team!
Watford just sacked their manager. I thought they did that each Wednesday, rather than Saturday.

Lays are the official crisps of the Middle East and when I lived in Saudi I had a bag of 'Brazilian Barbecue'.
Smokey Bacon
The cheeky bastards!
John McGinn gets one of the most blatant red cards you'll ever see 😂
Just think back in the day you could challenge a keeper like that without conceding a foul.
(Well almost, anyway).
Do you mean Barnsley away? Those were the days!
Obita gets sent off in the HIbs Rangers cup game.
And three minutes later Hibs get another red card. Think Rangers might win this.
How big is the crowd???
Come on Gasroom, where was the obligatory link to this...

My Reading pal is always on about their top class training ground and academy etc.
If he is allowed to sell off these assets they'll really be in huge trouble.
It's times like this you have to say hats off to our management for preventing the owners getting hold of Adams Park.
But it's scary how some people can just walk in, flash cash and play a game of monopoly with a football club.
and what about our training ground?
Ask Mr Beeks!
Does Beeks and his pals still own our training ground?
Lecce's manager sacked for headbutting an opposition player during their Serie A match vs Verona yesterday. Solid.
Less said about that, the betterings.
Is his name Joseph Bartonio?
Wycombe loanee Taylor Clark has scored for Farnborough.
Forest Green win again, massive result away at Bradford. ColU are in the relegation zone, but with two games in hand.
Looks like the wheels are falling off for the PNLs, down to eighth, and Lincoln are on a great run to try and sneak sixth.
Lincoln score 5 at Barnsley on Saturday and 6 tonight!

Yes, Ivor, another person and a company according to the Land Registry.
Extraordinary game at Bournemouth!
Wonder how many Bournemouth fans left at half time.
Well the Forest fans are happier after that Bournemouth comeback.
There hadn't been a penalty shootout in the Champions League for eight years until yesterday. Now we've got two in as many nights.
Bournemouth only the third team in PL history to come from 3-0 down at half-time to win. It hadn't been done since 2003.
