For some reason I thought that was going to be footage of Newcastle v Liverpool when he was brought in for the former as an expert "defensive coach" and he looks utterly miserable when Newcastle bring the score back to 3-3, when everyone round him is going wild.
Did anyone see the story from Rushden & Diamonds this weekend? They signed a goalkeeper that morning, lost 4-0 in the game that day, he then headbutted a fan in the bar after the game and had his contract cancelled.
It won't be long until there are more clubs without points deductions across the leagues than there are with. There are financial basket cases everywhere and I suspect if the Couhigs walked away today or our mysterious Georgian decides to go elsewhere we could possibly be in that bracket.
Everytime the Premier League sign another massive TV deal it makes my stomach churn, as it only pushes more clubs closer to oblivion.
Great post. I am really concerned that the EFL will have lost a lot of smaller clubs ten years from now, while the bigger Readings and Derbys only shed tears when it is their own mismanagement that forces them to jilt HMRC and other bills whilst still getting sympathy and saved from liquidation.
Have heard Wycombe have had a Wealdstone player on trial but not sure who. It's either Jaiden Bartolo (Gibraltar striker) or Kallum Cesay (Sierra Leone defender) but waiting for clarification to find out who it is on the grapevine
If they featured in the friendly today appears more likely to be Cesay but then with Wealdstone in action tomorrow night seems unlikely they'd permit him to play.

Lee Dixon reckoned Anthony's precise turn, swivel and shot into the corner was "speculative".
But bloody old school Lawrensen dour that 🤣
At least Lawro was funny. Dixon just hates football.
Dodged a bullet there I reckon.
Early Lawro wasn't funny. There was a reason Alistair McGowan did a sketch based on him!
Lawro was forced to lighten up.

(Although they lost 4-3 later)
Not to make you feel old, but I was 1 when that game took place.
I'm the generation that doesn't even remember him as a player.
Just a grouchy pundit who seemed to hate football.

A player headbutting a fan? Would never happen at Wycombe.
Understandable outside Tescos, but in the Club Bar unacceptable!
No doubt this fan was totally innocent too and merely offering his polite opinion on the player's performance.
Is this another Reading biscuit joke?
It depends if you are accepting all cookies
I find all this affects the Digestive system.
Sounds painful. No party ring for you
Forest docked 4 points. Means Luton climb above them to 17th.
Chances of getting it Evertoned down on appeal?
The excesses of the Premier League are the biggest contributor to deforestation
Money doesn't grow on trees, unfortunately for our friends in Nottingham.
We have to take our hats off to Luton though

Not that Darren Ferguson is a bitter whining knob or anything, but…

That article says they lost 1-10!
Peterborough area folk proved they are not great with numbers in the 19-20 season. We should go easy on them.

Lets hope he's beargood
https://twitter.com/LlanitoNL/status/1770119432112656877 Seems Wealdstone fans reckon it's Jaiden. Obviously one of the Wycombe scouts has been browsing this forum as I've been raving about Bartolo for a while.
2023-24 stats:

Wealdstone U19: 11 games, 27 goals
