One of the Little Mix singers lived and grew up in Downley I believe. However her husband (Andre Grey) is currently playing in Saudi for Al-Riyadh so I doubt we'll see her around for a while!
Was it Colin Baker who lived near here and used to watch us? Big up a Doctor Who connection...
(To be fair I am far more scared watching us defend in the last few minutes of matches that I ever was when I was five or six and hiding behind the sofa watching it)
Our defence in the last 10 minutes certainly does seem to have adapted a Weeping Angel statue type movement.... Away managers instructions to his team; "as long as you don't blink, you can score at will".
Has anyone he's ever personally spoken to or dealt with ever said this by the way?
Or is this based on his occasional grand standing comments?
Easy to forget in the pandemic times, that even people who'd been watching every game online were still given the chance to get their full season ticket fee back.
I know people who have worked with and for him and claim that he and a certain ginger DJ are both known throughout the industry for being quite obnoxious to crews and fans.
I cannot confirm myself as I do not move in those circles.
I suspect he would not touch football...and the possible bad reaction from fans...with a bargepole.
Him and his team did famously end a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread to publicise his US show when people asked him about his reputation of being a git. Or so the legend goes.
Sorry. Obviously grasped the wrong end of the stick. Rob always seems quite jolly to me. I'm only going by the reports on here of him getting testy (often posted by people who don';t trust him)! 😊
I did read somewhere he had (as all right wing shouters do) also called him a 'paedo defender' Not entirely sure why,
I think he also posted that Aluko's Dad was a corrupt Nigerian politician...
We all know that frightened of the truth telling the deep state lines up to silence the likes of Brand, Fox and Barton, as they keep warning us on many media platforms.
Tbf to James Corden, he turned up at Holmer Green sports club years back, unexpected, not organised, just with a few friends and stayed for a few drinks, and he was nothing other than very approachable and friendly with all. This was probably back in the Gavin and Stacey days, rather than league of their own, whether that makes a difference or not, as he might not have been as big a name then.
An unusual fixture on BBC Alba/iPlayer at 7:40pm tonight. Falkirk v The New Saints in the Scottish Challenge Cup semi-final. A competition between teams from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Falkirk are the unbeaten leaders of SPFL League One, TNS the unbeaten leaders of Cymru Premier.
In the other semi-final last night, also on Alba, Airdrie won 1-0 at Raith Rovers.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock - she went to Sir William Ramsay school
Don't even joke
Wycombe too low profile for Corden I think...and I understand he can be even more 'off' with the paying public than Rob.

Via Harry Ware on Twitter (no idea what his connection with the club is) :
'I understand that Wycombe goalkeeper Laurie Shala has suffered a potential long-term injury in a recent game whilst out on loan.
Shala signed a new deal with the Chairboys on Monday, but wasn't involved last night for Potters Bar Town, his loan club. '

Hopefully the Dr will regenerate back into Ainsworth soon ala David Tennant

Potters Bar Town have signed Stevenage goalkeeper Rylee Mitchell on loan today, which adds weight this story.

To be fair RC is an American lawyer and I don’t think I would trust someone who trusted an American lawyer with holding my beer…
Dreadful stuff.
In keeping with legal matters I see Joey Barton has gone full Lawrence Fox and is being sued by Jeremy Vine and Eni Aluko...
Wtf did he do to Jeremy Vine?!
Called him a nonce apparently.
A bike nonce.
Which is slightly worse than 'briefcase wanker' but seems a waste of the legal system's time.
Bloody hell, it's like Elon and the cave rescue guy again.

Also not being an arse where your Mum and Dad live might have played a part @HolmerBlue ?
Also to be fair, Rob Brydon is a very nice man by all accounts and is his friend so I suppose he cannot be all bad.
Doesn't talk nicely to waiters though.
Work for @bargepole?
I obviously meant Rob, not Corden 🤣
I did wonder how he mistook the refunds in the pandemic season as being Corden related!!
