Probably not his fault that things haven’t worked out but I would have been happier to see him leave on a permanent. Hopefully he can kick on with this loan spell though. Good luck to the lad.
Am I right in saying that somebody posted on here that the Potts deal was thanks to our assistant manager? If that’s the case, that relationship may well be paying dividends again! Exciting times.
Potts, Kone, and Kodua. With those three in the starting XI, I can see us tearing up the league in the second half of the season. We should fear nobody.
That is very unfair. James is a young guy learning the job and he has an enormous workload with no back up to check for errors. He has transformed the BFP coverage of our club and should be encouraged not criticised.
I mean, I find the typos amusing too, but at least the guy's putting the effort in and getting the team some coverage - which the BFP hasn't always been great at.
And how many people complaining are actually paying for the BFP? Don't know, but I suspect it's a very round number - perhaps the roundest of them all.
Anyway.
In other RUMOUR news, Lyle Taylor to Cambridge, apparently.
Here, here Alan. People are quick to criticise but I bet they wouldn’t do any better under the circumstances. Keep going James I for one appreciate what you have done and continue to do.
He’s not what I’d describe as a young guy. I suspect he is a similar age to me. He should be far more competent by now. He’s been in his position for well over a year, perhaps even more than two years. The BFP coverage of our club is still sh**. There are plenty of teenagers with only a GCSE in English that would do far better write-ups. Every single article he writes online has glaringly obvious errors. I don’t believe my criticism of his work to be ‘very unfair’. Anyway, that’s the last I’ll mention it.
Gideon seems like a decent signing. We could use his depth. I’m pleased he was the captain of their side last season, as it hints toward him being a well-rounded lad. I’m still not particularly convinced by Sadlier when we have possession. Sadlier is great out of possession, but squanders a lot of play with his poor decision making whilst the ball is in his remit. I’m hoping Kodua hits the ground running. Good to see Couhig’s support for Bloomfield is unwavering.
I certainly can't pretend I will miss Lyle Taylor if he does sign for Cambridge. His fitness and attitude / frustration certainly did add much to the team. He possibly didn't get a fair crack at the whip. A player with zero match fitness playing the high intensity lone striker role was a mystery to me. Maybe a Vokes / L Taylor partnership would have been different but we will never know. See him smash in 15 goals for Cambridge now.
Yeah, I guess we didn't have much choice of signings at the time, so there's that.
But I feel like we were a very bad fit for one another - the lone flashes of promise I saw (and they were not many) were more based on him getting ball to feet when we attacked through the centre, with a defence-splitting through ball.
Which we do not tend to do.
So no, I won't miss him either, but I don't think we played him in a role he was suited to - perhaps it's written in the stars that if you are a forward called Taylor, we won't play to your strengths.
Someone on here once described Matt Hancock as a nice guy too. Doesn't make him good at his job. I try not to be mean about James' BFP articles, but sometimes there's more wrong than right in them, lots of it being stuff that a big squiggly red underline tells you is wrong when you're typing. Given how you can't trust a word any of it says, how is more wrong articles littering the internet improving the coverage of our club?
I wasn’t referring to the internet because some of us old gits still read newspapers! We get more column inches in the BFP than we’ve had for many years and that’s where he is doing a decent job.

I guess a loan is lower risk for Rochdale If he struggles, and higher reward potential for D’Mani if he does well.
Very nice
If I had a Hammer…, Wycombe look like having two. Two of the best.
Wow.
It's quite sad but he seems to be a walking injury,i imagine he'll be released at the end of the season.

Hopefully he does well but I fear he may not make it in League football.
Not sure what happened but the above is a reference to Mellor.o
correct
Fold the club
The BFP are at it once more... https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/highwycombe/24044194.wycombes-dmani-mellow-joins-non-league-rochdale-loan/
Should have signed for Norwich
Oh honestly #Wendoverman, what planet are you on!
It’s quite astounding that guy still has the job. He’s utterly useless at it
I think people need to cut James some slack personally.
I agree. The lad is just rushing and just needs to give himself some time to check things really.
Kodua confirmed!

Definitely a system and not individual problem.

Do you or did you work in the management of the Post Office out of interest?

Agree. Nice guy, usually have a chat with him before the game.
