One possible reason for lack of any news could be things might not have been finalised yet?
Particularly in case of Lyle Taylor, could imagine a situation where he has been offered something and is considering his options, or club are waiting to see if able to bring in striker targets before deciding whether to offer him an extension.
With Boyes, there could be other loan moves on the table or even possibly a permanent move for him?
I am starting to think we have tactically not announced the end of Lyle Taylor and Harry Boyes to stop us being ripped off in the window. We are in (arguably desperate) need of a left (wing) back if Boyes has gone. We also need a striker pretty badly.
I think you are right. My hunch is that maybe Lincoln or another league 1 side have show an interest in a permanent move and they have called him back on that basis. Maybe they want to force us into paying a fee now?
Or maybe there are ongoing negotiations between WWFC, Sheffield Utd and Boyes about the remainder of the season and those involved would like to complete negotiations before calling on the gasroom for advice?

Have we concrete evidence that Boyes has left?
Apparently not.

Patience is not the greatest of virtues on the Gasroom.
And I’m one of the biggest culprits.
Hence the question.
Just in time to play against us!
MB still touting the possible arrival of one or two more players...

Clubs know the situation. No tactical advantage to be gained.
I think I read on the gasroom that we might have signed a young striker from nonleague who apparently may show some promise.....
What’s the tactical advantage for Sheffield United not announcing it?
What would they have to gain from doing so unless he's going to another club straight away
Remind me why people think Boyes has gone?
Somebody said it...and then demands were made for the club to confirm or deny. On here...Not sure if anyone actually asked the club.
I've seen some questions asked about it on club posts on Twitter and Facebook... all questions have been met with stoney silence
Perhaps they'll tell us when / if they want to? Radical I know.
Because he’s not been involved in the last few squads and there’s been no communication as to why.
Plus as @glasshalfempty posted he was recalled from a season long loan last January.

Perhaps he's been abducted by aliens, so the club have been told by a higher authority to keep shtum?
I think Boyes was seen yesterday at an Asda, working the checkout between Elvis and Lord Lucan.

As long as it wasn't Tesco...nothing good comes of that.
Missed opportunity not to get the Gasroom involved in such negotiations 😉
I hope Boyes hasn't got a cold (ala Gavin Grant).
Apologies to the two fellows who shouted 'I say Mr Pierre your performance today was sub par' and got ketchuped for bringing up bad memories.
Not really a rumour, but…
McCarthy and Pattenden back in training.

Good news.
Obviously a big relief to be back up to our full compliment of four right-backs.
Maybe a chance for Jasper to go out on loan to a National League club to keep his development moving on.
It's been so long I'd actually forgotten McCarthy's first name, 🤦♂️
@Twizz At my end of the terrace, he gets called "Cormac". At @oilysailor's I imagine it's "Exhuming".
I'd have Jasper ahead of Jason these days, he was superb for us earlier in the season.
