Weird how they spent something like £150m on Fernandes, Mount and Casemiro but didn't realise that you need someone to run around and do a bit of hard work. Although that's probably chicken feed to Chelsea. Good to see both plucky underdogs scrape wins today.
The Scots will be happy if McTominay gets more minutes now, he's been on fire for them.
It seems to be a fairly recent addition to the bitter football fan's lexicon doesn't it.
Sitting there gutted you've conceded, and chastising the opponent for having the cheek of celebrating a goal, which I believe is the whole point of football.
Sadly he's probably had it. The fans have never warmed to him, and in truth his record there is absolutely dire. Around 60% of his games have been defeats out of 25 games managed. Neil Warnock available... I'd be surprised if GA gets another game. A real shame.
International breaks probably are the time to do it aren't they? 2 weeks to get things sorted.
Hopefully gets more time though. At some point you surely have to look at the stack of managers who have failed in a row and think something else is to blame.
Well, let's see how it pans out there first. Not sack him early!
But you'd feel for the gang who followed him there. Dobbo for certain, but down the money chain the analyst chap who went there.
Can't imagine those jobs are that easy to find without having an existing relationship, so could face a long spell without a job, and then be in limbo until Gaz gets a job somewhere else, which could be anywhere.
Was thinking this as well. How long has the Reading manager got do you think ? That would be ideal (locally) for GA, if he'd be happy to put up with the financial situation there. If not he's going to have to possibly do a bit of travelling.
I honestly think GA may end up having to rebuild from L2, unfortunately. The perception is still that he is a one club man (a little like Nathan Jones with his failed stints away from Luton), so he is going to have to find a proving ground again.
If GA does go, there are just a few obvious clubs I hope he never ends up at. Well, really MK, Colchester or Bristol Rovers. Anything else would be okay.
Looking for southern clubs in a spot of bother, it looks like it could be slim pickings right now.
I really hope GA lands at a likeable, family oriented club where he can be loved again and be in his element. He is a lovely man, and a great manager in the right situation. He must be under absolutely horrendous stress right now, and I could imagine it almost being a relief if/when he and Dobbo leave QPR, as long as another good opportunity arises.
Yes, I am also very much hoping MK's underachievement does not end with them ditching their boss at exactly the wrong time. Of course an MK slump is good 99.99% of the time, though!
Ref at Stevenage had a busy afternoon yesterday. I count 13 yellows plus a second yellow leading to a red as well as a straight red. For good measure the ref booked Wigan’s manager as well. Ref was Alan Young - sure we have had him recently?
Wayne Rooney, formerly in charge at Wayne Rooney’s Derby County, looks set to be taking over at Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City less than 24 hours after leaving Wayne Rooney’s DC United.
It’s not fair on him, his staff or the players. Sends the message that it’s not good enough. Imagine being fired from your job when you’re performing and exceeding expectations.
Rooney looks set to be bringing John O’Shea and Ashley Cole with him.
As someone else mentioned as a possibility, Birmingham have indeed sacked John Eustace while sitting in 6th in a highly competitive Championship, to replace him with Wayne Rooney. This is going to end well, isn't it?
The only time in fairly recent years I can remember a guy goin really well getting sacked, being replaced, and then the team going onto better things was Adkins to Poch at Southampton.
Brum tried this a few years back themselves jettisoning Gary Rowett, who similar to Eustace had saved them from relegation and brought them to the playoffs for Gianfranco Zola - and it was the disaster everyone warned of, but Tom Brady probably hasn't heard of any of them.

20 years ago people would have just said it in the pub
GA is the first manager in QPRs history to go 11 home games in a row without a win.

Killer stat that.
He'll do well to survive this next 2 weeks won't he.
Felt like he'd turned the corner not long ago too.

I'm intrigued to see where he goes next - unlikely to be a club he has real ties to

I was thinking Port Vale (where he does have ties and big Uche) when the vacancy emerges

One of the goals QPR conceded today. My goodness. https://twitter.com/Mxrcus38/status/1710755011196576048?t=v_e-E3dqYW3jp0B24I08pg&s=19
A gift. I think that might have been Larkeche's first league start under Gaz

I think Gareth would probably get Bristol Rovers promoted. So I hope he goes somewhere else.
Well, I hope he turns it around at QPR, but you know what I mean.

Unless Reading's form improves, that may soon become another option for Gaz.
He was the ref on Tuesday at Pompey, six yellows.

Utter madness. The current Birmingham manager has 18 points from 11 games and they sit in the play off places.

Officials taking the piss in Arsenal - City. HOW is Kovacic still on the pitch?
Yes, I noticed that. As @Steve_Peart says, he was the referee for our game at Fratton Park on Tuesday.
I wonder how many of those cards were for dissent following wrong decisions, including decisions not to penalise foul play ?

From what Ive seen Birmingham fans aren't exactly happy about it either !
Now that is plain bonkers.

Quite enjoyable to see Gary O'Neil bouncing back with Wolves after getting the chop at Bournemouth.
