Poor old Anthony Stewart really gets it in the neck from Aberdeen fans on their forum...even more than LON used to get from Sunderlanders. Very surprised he has not moved on for his own sanity if nothing else. He cannot be on that much can he?
Tens of goalies sit on the bench up and down the leagues every game, these days there's almost always at least one decent pro not playing for every one that is. Matty would be a handy emergency goalie for us again if nothing else.
As much as I don’t think he set the world alight in his first spell, I think he’d suit this version of Wycombe a lot more and he’s had an extra few years of development since the last spell. He will do well at Exeter and must be their Nombe replacement.
I remember the clamour of excitement at his return, based on the loan spell a fair few years earlier, when he was super mobile, keen and fit.
However, Sanchez's warning was apt, something along the lines of he'd barely played 20 games in 3 years, so don't expect him to suddenly play 50 games a season!
My main memory of 2nd time around Castledine was showing his disco muscles right in the middle of the Leicester away celebrations.
You can see how pointless Wiki can be at times, by having that nonsense written by some disgruntled goon there, yet no similar line saying "Vokes was brilliant in his first Wycombe season scoring 17" for the Wycombe section.
Vokes is a great player and helped us get to a play-off final. I know @micra sees no point, but for me he's is great to have on the pitch whether he is scoring or not...like Taylor he has already been close a number of times since coming back. It's like posting messages about Josh Scowen from Sunderland or QPR sites.
Yes, it’s best to stick to statistics on Wikipedia (and even those can be misleading and/or inaccurate). Like you, @Maline, I could see from the spacing, terminology and ridiculous exaggeration that we weren’t talking shrewd judgment.
I just thought it was mildly amusing. Of course, Sam has demonstrated since coming here the shakiness of Sean Dyche’s judgement at Burnley where (if Wikipedia is to be believed) he often opted to partner top scorer Charlie Austin with Martin Paterson or Danny Ings, “both being quicker and more mobile”,
Michael O’Neill at Stoke (Sam’s last club before coming to Wycombe) also clearly had reservations, using him as a substitute in 25 of his 30 league appearances.
Sam has been a fine servant to several clubs, including Wycombe Wanderers but he doesn’t seem quite the player he was in his first season here.
Evening @Wendoverman. Not sure if I’ve said so on here but I really rate Dale Taylor. A great prospect and, of all the loan players, perhaps the most likely to want to stay on a permanent basis. Harry Boyes also possibly.
Aberdeen have just signed another defender. Hilariously, they used the wrong photo on their tweet which has now been deleted. Tools was something like 5th choice but presumably now has gone even further down the pecking order.

I gather the Mackems already have a new song for him
"He'll shoot, he'll score, he'll save your Labrador, Luke O'Nien, Luke O'Nien"

Ryan Allsop to Hull confirmed. 2 year deal with the option for a third.
Matt Ingram still has two years to go on his contract. Hard to see Allsopp going there to be on bench. Is Ingram on way out or destined to warm bench?
It won't be long before people are demanding him to come 'home'.
If something happened to Max and Matt was available , surely that would be a great solution. No vacancy at the moment though.

Tools not even on the bench tonight for Aberdeen against FC Random in Europe. On his way out?
God imagine the scenes if we sign him and Uche tomorrow.
He's coming home
I’m still scarred by the Stewart Castledine homecoming
Eze called up by England again
Muskwe reportedly going on loan to Exeter
Would have loved to see him back too.

A better option to play off Vokes's flicks than Uche
DUCKS FOR COVER

I’m pinching myself that big Sam is still wearing a Wycombe shirt .
Are you at it again?

Not even mentioned.

Can we get that million downthumbs button sorted out please Dr Congo?

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves!
I think Taylor looks good too. Very willing to get stuck in and get his shots away.

Anthony Stewart to MK on loan
And with the accuracy of Vokes' flicks lately, he's more likely to get on the end of one down in Exeter.
Genuinely surprised he’s dropped down to L2.
His family home is there and they looked after him last season when it all went to pit up north.
Stepped up to league 2 from Aberdeens reserves.
